Not that smallville is great but they explore this opposition to Superman in smallville in every episode so it has been explored. their hasnt been a legit superman movie in a very long time, SR just carried along the old timer views from those old timer movies, so im assuming they will address this in the next movie. Lex Luthor tho is the definition of opposition, he doesnt like superman becuz hes afraid of what he could become and threatened by him.

as for the poll, snyder said this movie as no ties to anything that was done in films, kinda sounds like hes saying anything or anyone in the previous films is out. meaning welling as more of a chance than routh(who is an awful actor)

The reason why you didn't include TW is because as the last poll ran demonstrated here. Tom Welling is favorite over the likes of Routh here. Synder only went on record saying Routh would be thought about because he still has some fan base. But guess what MrDCuniverse so does Tow Welling and if you would have included him in this poll you would have seen it.

Anyway...it is your article, your choice to put it out anyway you want but at the same time it's a little bias.

It amaze me how much people thinks Tom Welling should get the part. I don't get why there's so much love for Smallville, I dislike that show so much from episode one. But that is just my opinion.
