Christopher Nolan. A true visionary. Interstellar is the best movie since the Dark Knight Rises!

Loved the film though.

I still have really mixed feelings about this movie. I LOVED the first two-thirds, and then once Cooper fell into the black hole, it just went downhill...but I think that's just because it was such a jarring tonal change for me. In retrospect, Nolan set up all the emotional stakes VERY well, but for some reason I didn't expect the last half hour or so to COMPLETELY focus on that.

I'm definitely planning on a re-watch, now that I know what to expect. It's definitely a great movie, but I'm still not sure if it's Nolan's best.

This article sucks. "Psychics" should be "physics" and the rest is a bunch of gibberish. Thumbs up.

It's Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey with more meat added to it. It was good film but it wasn't great or anything ground breaking.

I mainly got the gist of the ending. And the movie was really fantastic. Probably one of the best I've seen all year.

@Nivekian You're trying to start a flame war, aren't you?

Great special effects and great score. A little slow to start. Great middle. 3rd act was a little disappointing. Entertaining go at the cinema. Looking forward to Big Hero 6 this coming weekend.

The movie wasn't confusing. Pretty much everything is explained in the film - you just need to pay attention. Its like when people complained about Inception being confusing but If you just payed attention to the movie you'd know exactly whats going on. A layered movie does not mean its a confusing movie, it just means its not a movie you should turn your brain off while watching.

This movie was a masterpiece. Its no 2001, but its about as damn close to Kubrick as we are going to get.

@Nomis

I agree the movie is on the top of my list this year, the only thing that could topple it is The Hobbit.

Haha that bothers me too...exactly how many movies do you guys go to in a year?? There's maybe 3 or 4 must-see-in-theaters movies for me, and I maybeeee stretch it to another movie or so if I find the right people to go with. Otherwise, I do the old-fashioned thing and wait for the blu-ray/dvd to come out. Or the illegal download. Whichever.

@DoubleD

How did Interstellar bomb? I guess Big Hero 6 bombed as well because it did a smidge more for the weekend. Again your comments prove that you are Marvelite troll to the core.

And again we get it on every thread that the movie sucked, it was boring, you took three bathroom breaks etc....... go Dick ride Disney and Marvel somewhere else and let the adults talk.
