In Summer 2014, the world’s most revered monster is reborn as Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures unleash the epic action adventure “Godzilla.” From visionary new director Gareth Edwards (“Monsters”) comes a powerful story of human courage and reconciliation in the face of titanic forces of nature, when the awe-inspiring Godzilla rises to restore balance as humanity stands defenseless.

Gareth Edwards directs “Godzilla,” which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson (“Kick-Ass”), Oscar® nominee Ken Watanabe (“The Last Samurai,” “Inception”), Elizabeth Olsen (“Martha Marcy May Marlene”), Oscar® winner Juliette Binoche (“The English Patient,” “Cosmopolis”), and Sally Hawkins (“Blue Jasmine”), with Oscar® nominee David Strathairn (“Good Night, and Good Luck.,” “The Bourne Legacy”) and Bryan Cranston (“Argo,” TV’s “Breaking Bad”).

GODZILLA will stomp into theaters May 16, 2014.

The roar is awesome, but it kind of drags a lil, but it ends on a great note. I just wish the movie didn't disappoint me like it did.

@blackandyellow - Yes, but it helps to be a fan of Godzilla. My kids, who have grown up on the classic Godzilla movies, like I did really enjoyed it.

Planning on going Sunday to IMAX. But can't. Why? Because someone decided xmen and blended deserved IMAX releases. One week into it's release and it's gone now. What the flip?!

I saw it today and i liked it very much.. Don't expect brawling like pacific Rim, but this brings more story and mystery with it what i very much liked through out the whole film. And the Visuals are awesome.

I liked the fighting and the direction they were trying to go...but much of the execution was all wrong. It was almost like a Star Wars prequel: the visuals were fantastic and extremely memorable, but all the wrong decisions were made for acting and this movie, unfortunately, relied too much on that.

Also, they claimed this 2014 Godzilla would evoke the 1954 original, when it was really more like one of the movies from the 1970s or the 1990s series, where the humans were used to explain where some new monster came from and how to defeat it, before Godzilla shows up in the third act to save humanity. Kind of false advertising but I enjoyed it as a Godzilla fan.

Nothing compares to the original but I love this new roar. Especially how it drags on onwards the end.
