Would've liked to have seen a sentinel with more traps/neck as a nod to Nimrod.

Meh...ok. Still reminds me of a certain something Thor once battled...

The movie was good but I just don't understand why they had to look so much different.

I really like the ones we got, but a few of these are badass. Would've been nice to have a few different versions out there. Each one more suited for a specific type of mutant ability.

I seriously don't see how ANY of the X-Men lived up to that point though.

The last few look great. Not really a fan of the T-1000 look for a Sentinel.

Have to echo @rebellion - love those last two, they work as a really good adaptation of Nimrod, and not just as cool designs.

they look exactly like the destroyer, shooting beams from the face? I mean cmon. they could've at least shot em from their hands to make em more like the ones in the comic, but for some reason they wanted to blatantly copy the Destroyer

Say what u want bout the Sentinels but they damn sure did a hella of lot more damage than The Destroyer did.The Sentinetels were [frick]in ruthless in the future.The body count already outweighs anything The Destroyer did in Thor.N I liked Thor.XD

Yea I would have liked 2 have seen this Sentinel instead.

I think that design was better.Still happy overall. :)

"I seriously don't see how ANY of the X-Men lived up to that point though."

That's actually a really good point. They got torn apart in minutes by those Sentinels...have the Sentinels never tried fighting the mutants with that much backup before? It seemed a little TOO easy...

But I guess the movie covers its butt by saying that Kitty keeps using her inexplicably-new time-traveling powers to keep sending them back a day or two and avoid ambushes and whatnot. It's not a very satisfying answer, but I guess I can buy that.

The second image along with the bottom two are really good. I think those would have been used if not for Iron Man and The Silver Samurai designs.

The the last 3 designs are awesome! Wish they had used those in the movie and had them be different variants.

Dat teaser image though. Love the designs, wish they used it in the final project.

Happy?
BlindJustice
BlindJustice - 5/28/2014, 12:03 PM
@MrReese - Yes, I know..But it still looks like they recycled The Destroyer and added some T-1000 influence. Also, pretty much everyone knows The Destroyer was watered down in Thor...at least I hope they do.

@SauronsBANE1 - True enough.

Kitty wasn't able 2 send the message 2 warn them a back a day or 2 once she sent Logan back.I assume they were already in hiding, while most likely the Sentinels were searching 4 them through out the movie.Obviously at the end they find them & everything goes 2 shit in the future till Raven switches her mind & thus erasing everything from happening.

Finally saw it yesterday.

It was the best X-men movie since X-2.
I wish there were more awesome moments like Quicksilver and the future scenes, but for what it was, it was a good flick.

For me it's not Cap 2 good, but definitely not Spider-man 2 bad.
4 out of 5 for me.

Cap 2 was a 5.
Spidey an unfortunate 2.

Wow these are pretty scary. that one pic reminds me of a character from Killer Instinct. Man these things were ruthless.
BlindJustice
BlindJustice - 5/28/2014, 12:08 PM
@MrReese - Yeah, aside from what the critics on this site say... That movie had some really cool scenes. I guess those Sentinels in the Danger Room were just what the X-Men envisioned giant killer robots to look like.
MrReese
MrReese - 5/28/2014, 12:09 PM
@BlindJustice Yea he was watered down, but u can't knock Singer for utilizing the concept better.Only thing that bothered me was the Sentinels using Rogue's powers & playing it off as Mystiques.

Nick56 - 5/28/2014, 12:10 PM
Cool. the future sentinels were scary as [frick]!

Other than the color and facial they are really not that far off from the Nimrods in the comics.

@BlindJustice I happened 2 enjoy it more the second time round.Movie was definitely good.I was one that laughed at the pics of QS & he damn sure proved ppl wrong.Including me.I'm happy with the end result overall.Which in turn peaks my interest even more 4 Apocalypse.

I think Singer did a great job with the Sentinels.

Btw, Chris Claremont wrote a scene with the Danger Room at the end of his novelized X2 (movie) book. He has a certain Cajun there as one of the newest recruits. A shame they didn't use Gambit in that opening X3 scene... The fans would've been shocked.

Hopefully Gambit will be good in Apocalypse. I'm curious if he'll be one of the Four Horsemen. The casting seems a bit out there...like a certain WB/DC recent casting.

@grif

Lol!! Awesome Destroyer who only blew up a few cars. In the comics Destroyer was a formidable foe for Thor. In the movies Thor took him out in one move.

@sKeemAn - Who would win in a fight... Ultron or Nimrod?
BlindJustice

@JoJo1982 - Yeah, I thought that big husky fellow looked familiar haha.
sKeemAn
sKeemAn - 5/28/2014, 12:24 PM
@blindjustice

I'd give it to Ultron. As he is the more intelligent being. Nimrod can adapt but how would it adapt to intelligence? Good one.

Loved the Sentinels. They were extremely threatening unlike some other pushover villains in CBMs.
Also, back up to a 92% on RT. I'm so happy to see everyone loving this movie. After Last Stand I thought it would be over for the X-men.
