getting an old-school star wars vibe from some of these pics. Not that ultra-clean/sterile look the prequels have (basically all indoor greenscreens and Lucas sitting on his fat ass in front of 3 monitors).

It still hasn't really sunk in that STAR WARS episode 7 is being made. With the original cast at that. Even as I look at these pictures its surreal. I just can't believe it yet.

LOL @Butthurt, damn, you beat me to it, and I had promised no more Carrie "fat" jokes...

Seriously, I love they're using practical effects for the creature, but in this day and age, is it really necessary any more?

One bonus, we get to see set pics of the practical pieces at least...

Still feel there's something perversely wrong about any Star Wars movie starting with the Disney castle instead of the 20th Century Fox fanfare.

Since I was a kid in the 70's that Fox Fanfare has been the initiation of everything Star Wars in the theater. It just won't feel 100% right starting with this..

Instead of this..

@ceejay

We don't see the Disney logo in front of the marvel movies so I doubt we will see it in front of the Star Wars movies.

don't bother, Ceejay constantly has a vendetta out against a "certain studio". nothing is going to change that

Ceejay is right though, the Fox fanfare was kind of part of the Star Wars Experience....doesn't matter I bet someone will edit it on to the film.

@Nikgrid

I agree, the Fox fanfare was a thing that i remember from every Star Wars watching experience, and from now on I guess it will be different. But it's not going to have the Disney castle logo most likely at the beginning. :P

Then I remember that the prequels had the fanfare also, and look how that turned out......:(
