From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy's fate in the balance.

Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, featuring Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector. James Gunn is the director and the story is by Nicole Perlman and James Gunn, with screenplay by James Gunn. It releases in U.S. theaters on August 1, 2014.

Liked Quill's Thriller jacket in the film. Glad they went with that one instead.

Annnnnnd Rotten Tomatoes is at 93%. People love it, and the trolls are on to nitpicking instead of trying to call it green lantern. Lmao

The production design on this movie was phenomenal.

Makes me wonder which I would rather see first: the Guardians playing on Earth, or the Avengerd fighting in deep space.

Success breeds contempt.

Especially when rivals fail so miserably.

@thepowercosmic. I think it goes both ways. I love to see the celebration of things, it's the low class we are better than you behaviour that irks me.

But Marvel is better. And considering the naysaying we always hear about their risks, its good to remind people of this.

@ramonsuarez....I do agree that Marvel is currently doing better than all other studios, but bringing others down to make oneself look better is not my of being a good winner.

Great movie. My 4 year old loved it but be warned, it is extremely violent for a Marvel film.

Marvel is not bringing anyone else down, they are doing that to themselves.

"Marvel is not bringing anyone else down, they are doing that to themselves."

Its important in times like this to gloat because people sure will hate when mistakes are made. I saw this with the IM3 and Antman trolling.

When it comes to a space opera like GOTG, there should be no concept art. Put everything in the film and create a wacky universe your pulled into. This film didn't do that for me. I feel like when Marvel leaves Earth they get pretty lazy.

@Batz11

i got it the day the movie came out...its incredible..

..it also has a lot of info on the origins of the universe itself (i.e. eternity, infinity, entropy, death) as well as the infinity stones....

...beautiful art throughout...MS really has some of the best concept artists in the business.
