Oh Look, UNDERWORLD Is Getting Rebooted, How Nice
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting, Lakeshore Entertainment is rebooting the vampires vs. werewolves franchise known as Underworld. Come find out who is writing this masterpiece.
Looks like the day has finally arrived in which Kate Beckinsale no longer has to squeeze into a dominatrix outfit (nothing wrong with that) to play the gun-toting vampire, Selene. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lakeshore Entertainment has decided to reboot their very lucrative Underworld franchise. They've hired Cory Goodman to pen the reboot. Goodman is responsible for writing Paul Bettany's Priest (2011) and Vin Diesel's upcoming film, The Last Witch Hunter, which is current in production.
The first Underworld film, directed by Len Wiseman and starring Kate Beckinsale, was released in 2003. Playing the strong vampiress Selena made Beckinsale into a bankable action star, and three films followed in 2006 (Underworld: Evolution), 2009 (prequel Underworld: Rise of the Lycans) and 2012 (Underworld: Awakening).
