Airbourne Aviation is a flying school located at Popham Airfield and their official twitter page tweeted an image (as seen below) along with this message: "Last tweet for the night. I spotted this at the weekend whilst flying over Greenham Common." That image was tweeted yesterday, and on September 4th another member of twitter tweeted that there was a rumor J.J. Abrams' Star Wars VII was filming on that location. That tweet can also be viewed below.

Star Wars: Episode VII - Actors John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, David Oyelowow, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong'o and Gwendoline Christie will join the original stars of the saga, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, and Kenny Baker in the new film. It's being directed by J.J. Abrams from a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Abrams. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams, and Bryan Burk are producing, and John Williams returns as the composer. The movie opens worldwide on December 18, 2015.

Wonder if the rumors are true of someone else owning the Falcon, not Han or Chewie.

It looks good, but I thought they were making the entire ship this time. Oh wel, still looks good. I would love to own the Falcon, people would come see it all the time and take pics with it. The inside would be exactly like in the movies with sound effects and everything. You talk about awesome to own that in exact scale.

You mean, AGAIN the same ships, these boys were ditched for the last three movies (and thus 30 years).

Now the Slave One on the other hand...

But even most Star Wars fans say that was a bad idea. Fett's father should've never been that big a deal.

I think it is complete. Its supposed to come apart in sections, so that it can be moved. I think Disney wants to keep it after the movies for their theme park. It may be that they are just moving it and reassembling for location shooting. I doubt they would have done the initial build outdoors like that.

@ Timerider84

It's a next generation X-wing, not a Headhunter.

The Headhunter doesn't have wings that split into an X formation.

X-wings do.
