JUPITER ASCENDING International Trailer #3

Pushing the Jupiter Ascending release date to Feb. may have been a positive. During the delay, Eddie Redmayne, who plays the film's villain, has emerged as an Oscar frontrunner for his work in The Theory of Everything. It could generate new interest.

Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis star in "Jupiter Ascending," an original science fiction epic adventure from filmmakers Lana and Andy Wachowski. Jupiter Jones (Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people's houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along—her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos. From the streets of Chicago to far flung galaxies whirling through space, "Jupiter Ascending" is written and directed by the Wachowskis.

People writing off the Wachowskis. Even their failures should be applauded for sheer ambition alone.

AND YES LONG LIVE THE TATUM. I think Kunis is a likely miscast though.

As much as I hesitate to admit it, the Wachowskis are put on this planet to bring DBZ to the big screen.

Reminds me too much of the premise of The Matrix.

I'll pass.

Cloud Atlas was a special and very underrated movie though.

I've been looking forward to this movie since I watched the first trailer. I'm not completely convinced about Tatum, though, and as much as I adore Mila Kunis I really can't shake the feeling she's wrong for this role. Something just seems off.

If only this movie was a DC Comic film instead, then I'd be looking forward to it. Sean Bean and Eddie Redmayne are good actors though, Channing not so much. I would enjoy seeing what the Wachowski's could do with the Thanagar vs Rann war in DC Comics. Seeing the battle that had Hawkman and Adam Strange fighting together, would be great.

If we were only so lucky to have such talent and budget towards any anime/manga the GA would finally get to see how great the stories are.

Actually, it's an interesting premise.

I'll go see it.

And I cannot believe people actuallt like DragonballZ. Thirty minutes of microseizures and screaming with two minutes of weird-hair freaks flying through the air.

Go-Ku?

More like Go-Kill-Yourself.

Everything I see from this movie leaves me all...

A visual extravaganza that's an original story and not a slave to shared universes? Yes, please.
