Meet Ava In New Clip From Alex Garland's EX MACHINA

Dredd and 28 Days Later screenwriter Alex Garland makes his directorial debut with the science-fiction film, Ex Machina. The film comes out in a few weeks, but you can check out a clip from it below. It features Star Wars: The Force Awakens actor, Domhall Gleeson ("Black Mirror"), meeting the female robot named Ava, who is played by Alicia Vikander. Gleeson's character Caleb will have to perform the Turing Test on Ava to see if the robot exhibits "intelligent behavior equivalent to, or indistinguishable from, that of a human."
Ex Machina hits UK theatres on January 23, and opens in the US on April 25.
Caleb Smith (Domhnall Gleeson), a programmer at an internet-search giant, wins a competition to spend a week at the private mountain estate of the company’s brilliant and reclusive CEO, Nathan Bateman (Oscar Isaac). Upon his arrival, Caleb learns that Nathan has chosen him to be the human component in a Turing Test – charging him with evaluating the capabilities, and ultimately the consciousness, of Nathan’s latest experiment in artificial intelligence.
