Best Look At JURASSIC WORLD's D-Rex (Hybrid Dinosaur); Plus New Toys

Got some new Jurassic World promotional images with real dinosaurs like Dimorphodon, Tyrannosaurus Rex and Velociraptors. But, you don't want to see those. You want to see the genetically-modified dinosaur. At least, that is what Universal hopes.

Some new promotional images of Jurassic World's genetically modified dinosaur have surfaced online. The images also include looks at other dinosaurs like the Tyrannosaurus Rex and Velociraptors. But it is D-Rex, aka Indominus Rex, that has piqued the interest of most would be moviegoers.

I swear, if we have to suffer through another T-rex scene like this, I'm walking out of the theater and never looking back.

@ckal Same. It was the laziest and lamest way to try and make the Spinosaurus look "badass". For all its faults, at least The Lost World managed to make the T-rex just as fearsome as it was in the original. The third film is barely even a Jurassic Park movie to me.

Jurassic World HAS to be better than that...right?

I'm betting they merge T-Rex with Velociraptor DNA to make this new one.

Jurassic Park III....

They didn't even try to make the movie good. Plus seeing the T-Rex get handled like that was horrible.

Even as a hybrid of a velociraptor and a T-Rex, i still don't understand how he has spikes on his back.

I was one who didn't like the T-rex getting bitch slapped like he did, but you gotta admit, that spinosaurus was pretty badass. With hands like his he would destroy the T-rex like he did.

Read somewhere that the amount of muscle in a T-Rex's neck make it almost impossible for it to get snapped like that. That kill was almost as lazy and bullshitty as the kick to the face at the end of Karate Kid.

@batz11

I am not able to see what you posted; what is it?

@sKeemAn

do you know if there is any show like in discovery channel where it is stated that the spinosaurus could actually bitch slapp the T Rex? Not trolling, I am geniuinesly interested in know that

@Beaner8127

that is exactly what I am lloking for, information about how would end a real battle between those two monsters
Beaner8127
Beaner8127 - 1/14/2015, 5:20 PM
@KikinGonzalez

I can only accept a T-Rex death if it was a 2 minute brawl where both are torn up and beaten down and at the end Spinosaurus bites the Achilles tendon and the T-Rex drops but is still fighting but the Spinosaurus rips out his throat. A badass way to go out

They designed their own dinosaur?

Probably not a good idea.
SauronsBANE

My dino nerd history is going to show here, but here we go:

Basically, Beaner8127's right - the neck muscles in the T-rex are massive, so it'd take a heck of a lot to snap it like that. The jaws of the Spinosaurus are ridiculously weak compared to that of the T-rex, so it should've had a massive disadvantage right from the get-go. I mean, the T-rex scavenges/hunts its prey (which include a LOT of smaller dinosaurs), and the Spinosaurus' diet consisted of mostly fish. You tell me which one is stronger haha.

Then again, the easy excuse is that these are simply genetically engineered to do whatever the scientists wanted them to do, so they didn't necessarily have to be scientifically-accurate. Real-life Velociraptors weren't even close to being how they are depicted in the movies.
SauronsBANE
SauronsBANE - 1/14/2015, 5:27 PM
I should be embarrassed, but somehow I'm proud of myself for knowing all that.
KikinGonzalez
KikinGonzalez - 1/14/2015, 5:27 PM
@Beaner8127

yeah that would be a honorable death for the T Rex... and would look incredible on the big screen. A lot better than the crap we got in JP3

@SauronsBANE

hey brother! nothing to be embarrased I think it says you are a really smart and well informed man.

How were the real life Velociraptors compared to the ones of the movies?
