Emily Blunt To Play Villain In THE HUNTSMAN; Director Frank Darabont Exits

I got goods and I got bad news. Which one would you like to know about first? I'll decide. Okay, here's the bad news. Frank Darabont is no longer the director of The Huntsman. The good news? Emily Blunt will be the film's villain. Check it out!

Emily Blunt went from being a Full Metal B*tch in Edge Of Tomorrow to a Baker's Wife in Into The Woods, and according to The Wrap she will be the main villain in The Huntsman. It's a spinoff of the 2012 film Snow White & The Huntsman. Kristen Stewart ("Still Alice"), who starred in the first film, won't be back, but Chris Hemsworth ("Avengers: Age Of Ultron") and Charlize Theron ("Mad Max: Fury Road") are.

The sequel sends the Huntsman on a quest to find the magic mirror (which has been stolen), forcing him to face not only his past but the evil Snow Queen who’s set on avenging her sister Ravenna’s death. Charlize Theron will return as the villainous Ravenna and Blunt is making a deal to play her sister, the evil Snow Queen.

Deadline is reporting that director Frank Darabont, the former showrunner of The Walking Dead and the director of Shawshank Redemption, has left the project. They expect Universal to choose a new director by next week. Maybe Universal will revisit two directors that were on the short list last sumer, Gavin O’Connor ("Warrior") and Andy Muschietti ("Mama")? Or, maybe they got their eyes set on someone new. We'll find out soon enough.

Chris Hemsworth needs to rethink his gigs outside of Marvel. This dude must be a compulsive gambler to need to take these movies on.

Oh Darabont.

I completely forgot about Mob City. Haven't seen it, but sucks for him.

He directed The Green Mile and Shawshank. This movie was beneath him.

Meanwhile, SuperheroFeed says that Ellen Yindel may be The GCPD Commissioner (instead of Gordon) in the live-action Batman solo movie. No source, but they usually steal info from somewhere without giving credit.

The comments I've read on other sites about Paterno and PSU getting the wins reinstated have made me lose faith in humanity.

What the hell does this have to do with comic book movies?

Also, Charlize Theron is soooo overrated.

Hemsworth does take some major gambles with films he does outside of marvel. Working with Ron Howard is the only good thing he's done outside of marvel.

I didn't watch the first movie. The trailers for it looked good, but I lost interest after seeing the bad reviews.

I might check this one out.
