PARADISE LOST Concept Art Of The Demons
More concept art from Alex Proyas's defunct Paradise Lost has been discovered. Hit the jump to check out a series of designs for the demons that would've appeared in the film. It would've starred Bradley Cooper (Guardians of the Galaxy) as Lucifer.
Legendary Pictures shutdown production on Alex Proyas' Paradise Lost in February of 2012 due to budgetary concerns. Proyas was going to bring John Milton's 17th century poem of the same name to the big screen. Proyas was planning to use advanced visual effects technology that would've forced the budget to balloon. Legendary tried to bring the budget down to $120 million to make it work, but it couldn't be done. There were going to be some amazing aerial battles between the angels and the demons. That is where most of the budget issues stemmed from.
The cast included: Bradley Cooper as Lucifer, Benjamin Walker as the archangel Michael, Casey Affleck as Gabriel, Diego Boneta as Adam, Camilla Belle as Eve and Dijmon Hounsou as Abdiel the Angel of Death.
