I'm glad I'm not the only one in the room who thinks this movie looks terrible.

The paper-white makeup bit is really old.

What upsets me the most about this, is that this film will replace The Avengers in our IMAX theater next Friday, and nearly every evening show is sold out until then. I hope they allow two films at once at least until Prometheus comes out, but Memorial Day weekend will also have MIB3 as well. I think this would have been much better suited for early March or October, because I'm just not really in the mood to see this right now.

I don't get why people have beef with Tim Burton, sure he made some bad films but no director is perfect. If your still mad at Burton for Planet of the Apes LET IT GO, he even admitted his SUCKED.
If other people are still mad at him for how Batman Returns turned out DON'T blame him it was damn WB for wanting him to tone down the darkness.Since the company wanted Batman to be made for kids.
That is why Joel Schumacher took over after Batman Returns.

Starkiller21 has it right, in my opinion, but I guess there are those who just don't "get" Burton films. Edward Scissorhands, Batman (1989), NIghtmare Before Christmas, all classics to me. Then again, I didn't think Apes was that bad, and I even liked Sweeney Todd, so maybe it's just me. But I do want to know, even as much as I liked the 60s Dark Shadows and it's short-lived revival in 1990, why it's a "CBM."

I liked Planet of the Apes, Sleepy Hollow and BATMAN. His Ape movie was the first time everyones face wasnt slathered in white make up.

thedudeabides said it perfectly. I have no beef with this movie except for the fact it might knock Avengers out of IMAX before I get a chance to see it again.
