Featuring a beautifully detailed sculpt recreating Batman’s specific appearance in the new film, this new version of the character faithfully recreates the hero’s intricate armored bat-suit with cape and cowl. Standing ready for action, the world’s greatest detective oversees Gotham City from the top of a rocky landscape. Staring down his enemies with his trademark scowl, Batman holds his flowing cape in front of him with his left hand while his right wields one of his wonderful toys; with interchangeable parts you can display him with either a grapple gun or his EMP rifle! Sculpted by MIC, Batman The Dark Knight Rises towers over 15 inches tall (1/6th scale) on a rocky display base that includes a hidden light-up bat symbol!

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.

It's going to interesting hearing the reasoning behind a pulse weapon shooting directionally.

ckal, I'd imagine it's similar to the way they put the black makeup paint in Kick-Ass. Also, I've worked at a haunted house and have walked around in a Batman costume a few times and I can say that it really doesn't take long to apply some facepaint before putting on a mask. 30 Seconds tops.

@robertneville Not having to waste story telling time by explaining the 'reality' of the Marvel stories leaves A LOT more time for what really drives a story forward: plot and characters. I think that's something the Burton films did better, they left everyone to come to their own conclusions about his 'toys' and focused on the story.

I wish they had updated the suit for this one.

And yes, it takes about 30 seconds to put on some eye black and it allows you to see in rapidly changing light conditions by reducing glare and ambient light. The dude has to put on an armored suit and you guys are bitching that "he wouldn't have time to put on eye makeup"...

@Redstorm & ckal I would think the makeup would be the easiest part. How do you honestly strap on that suit in a hurry when Joker just crashed your fundraiser and has a knife to Rachel's throat? I would hope he'd get something similar to Ironman where the suit gets put on but I doubt it.

Guess the only solution is to use fire poles and slide down them from the Manor and somehow it'll all work out.

So, I guess anyone who gave Batman Begins and The Dark Knight bad reviews 'just didn't understand Nolan's vision'?

@NolanlsEmperor An entire city gets leveled (even Ra's couldn't pull that off in Gotham) and there isn't enough death? On a different note, can anyone give me, going on Nolan's 'realistic' approach, explanation how fear gas works?

I think it takes a lot of objectivity NOT to wind up entrenched in either movie camp. I don't think many of us have that in here.

We only have this "war" because the fans of Nolan and those up Whedon are so similar. I'll just enjoy both Marvel and DC.

Looks great! I just wish people would stop trying to make predictions about how much this movie will make & also saying it won't make what Avengers is making & I mean with all do respect to the Avengers this is Batman people have been waiting 4 this movie 4 four years & as matter of fact maybe longer because many want to see how Nolan will finish it out so do not treat Batman like this is his 1st time around the block as this film is Green Lantern & I like GL one of my top favorite Superheros ever but I admit the movie underperformed so remember this Batman is not Green Lantern he is The Dark Knight & with or with out Joker Batman continues to sell at high volumes in movies, merchandise, comic books, novels & all.

Sure TDK was his first movie to make over a billion at the box office but it was the first CBM to do that period even if the Avengers passes that. Plus TDK did that in a sunken economy that was worse in 08 it did it in 2d & Imax. Batman Begins caught people's eye & they said "Wow CBM arent only for kids" & TDK revolutionized the CMB industry & is to date the most successful sequel in any film genre.

So do not treat Batman as if he was a rookie on the block because anytime U can out perform the great ones domestically such as Harry Potter, Spider-man, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings to name a few that ain't bad at all.

TDK was a success because of great filmaking by Director, cast & crew & most of all by us the fans as Stan Lee said "we True Believers."

Was TDK perfect no but was & is it an instant classic yes because no film is perfect even if nearly perfect still it is not perfect & no film is...

I wish continuing success to all CBM willing to put is on the line to entertain us & I look forward to my favorite must see film of 12 "The Dark Knight Rises."

It's not about whether anything in these movies can actually happen, but whether or not actors/filmmakers can make the audience believe the CHARACTERS believe this stuff is real. ARC reactor, EMP gun, SHIELD hellicarier, batman hovercraft, Loki, Bane. WE believe it because the characters believe it.
