Christopher Nolan To Be Honored On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame

Christopher Nolan will add his handprints and footprints to the famous walk at Grauman’s Chinese Theater. He may deserve a whole city block of his cemented footprints if the rumors are true that The Dark Knight Rises is better than The Dark Knight.

Before Christopher Nolan releases his final Batman film he will be honored at the prestigious Grauman’s Chinese Theater. The director of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and the upcoming blockbuster The Dark Knight Rises will be immortalized on the walk next to such stars as Marilyn Monroe and Clark Gable.

In celebration of the upcoming release of "The Dark Knight Rises," the film's director/writer/producer, Christopher Nolan, will be accorded a rare industry honor: Nolan will have his hand and footprints cemented into the famed forecourt of Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. The hand-and-footprint ceremony will take place on Saturday, July 7, at 10:00 a.m.

Jeff Robinov, President, Warner Bros. Pictures Group, stated, "Everyone at Warner Bros. joins me in congratulating Christopher Nolan, who has been such an integral part of our family for the past 12 years. We are extremely proud of the cinematic legacy he has given us through his films. At only 41, Christopher takes his place alongside other industry giants featured at Grauman's, and generations of fans will remember the extraordinary impression he left on their imaginations."

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.

a great honour indeed and it's very well deserved. No failure so far. Lets hope this film does not break that trend.

DEFINITELY well deserved. What a stud this guy is. I highly doubt he'll be snubbed at the Oscars this year...

@marvel72

The Prestige is criminally underrated. Brilliant film and stands strong next to Inception, TDK, BB, and Memento.

Insomnia and Following were his first. And honestly, even for first they are incredible films.

But yeah don't leave out Prestige

Very well deserved. The only thing that is missing is an Oscar, which he will no doubt receive at the next Academy Awards ceremony for The Dark Knight Rises. :-)

@IM53

The prestige is one of the Nolan movies I really don't care for. I loved Inception, Momento and his Batman movies. Insomnia was great, but I don't consider that a true Nolan movie since he didn't write it. I've seen the Prestige four times, and each time I couldn't really get into it.

breakUbatman - 6/28/2012, 1:14 PM
Prestige was the business, that movie sold me on TDK before any news about the film. Just as Inception was what sold me on TDKR.

Nice one, Insomnia is "ok" though.
