THE DARK KNIGHT RISES' Moutain Dew Featurette Includes Snippets Of New Footage

The Batcave portion of Mountain Dew's dewgothamcity.com website has been unlocked and a new featurette with a few brief snippets of new footage has been uncovered.

Most of the content is the same as the thirteen minute featurette that was posted earlier today. So what is new? There is a longer shot of Batman on the bridge. A snippet of Bruce jumping out of a window. There is Bane throwing a counterpunch after Batman misses. We also have a shot of Bruce doing situps behind bars, and Anne Hathaway's version of the "you've given them everything" line is different than what we've previously seen.

The Dark Knight Rises hits theaters July 20th 2012 and stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.

That two punch combo by Bane is brutal. The fact that a few people who were at the NYC press screening have confirmed that Bane and Bat's first encounter will have *SPOILER ALERT* no music behind it is gonna make the scene a lot more powerful.

@antino. Of course the waterfall scene is gonna be their first. The bridge part Where Bane said "Mr. Wayne" is probably gonna be their second and the fight at City Hall is gonna be their last.

And I'm telling you, the shot from 2:24-2:30 is gonna be the last scene we see in the film. If not, then I don't know what is.

@Dragon theShape and Scoop from SHH, who were in attendance at the NYC press screening, have bluntly confirmed that the final scene in the movie has not been shown in ANY of the previews.

The Brazilian critic who was in attendance at tonight's L.A. re-screening gave her very brief reaction and well, it looks like she likes it A LOT more than Avengers(which is a movie really liked)

She also said that TDK is better, but TDKR is on-par. However, she says it isn't better than Nolan's Inception.

Every story demands a great ending. I can't wait for this movie, and I hope Joss Whedon decides to stay on with Marvel so he can do for them what Nolan has done for Batman.

Excellent DKR news today I guesss the embargo has been lifted on the interviews and such, and IDK I was under the impression that Bane and Batman only fought twice, I guess we'll see soon enough... so stoked to see exactly how Batman Rises to the occasion to defeat Bane

But it sounds like the footage was friggin cool.
antonio
antonio - 7/7/2012, 11:47 PM
@Ridiculous yes! Whedon could be the Chris Nolan of Marvel Studios if he stays.

@AsianVersionOfET it's basically a shorter version of the 13 featurette, but there's some really cool new footage and pics.

@antonio, thanks for the info, man. I'm gonna watch it on my computer first thing in the morning. I'm kinda glad I can't watch it right now anyways, the 13 minute featurette was MORE than enough for the day!

i have no idea how they're going to top the avengers. the first is soooo great that a sequel really needs to blow minds. i hope marvel doesn't drop the ball and that they stay consistent in giving it a good sequel. thats why nolan kicks ass, he stays consistent. bb was good, tdk was amazing and hearing all these reviews, tdkr seems like it will be legendary.
