Superman Super Site is reporting that sources close to the project are hearing Brett Ratner's name being bandied about. Studio executives are said to be very interested.
"The studio is very pleased with the work that Brett [Ratner] has done as a producer and director on past projects," states our sources. "They are now very interested in seeing what he can do with helping finally bring this group of iconic superheroes to
    the big screen!"

The filmmaker is best known for directing the Rush Hour franchise, starring Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. Justice League wouldn't be his first foray into the comic book genre as he already has X-Men: The Last Stand under his belt. Which was the follow-up to Bryan Singer's two previous film's. It was considered a disappointment among fans and critics, but nevertheless it was a huge hit at the box office, becoming the highest grossing film in the series.

One of the few hiccups in this plan is that Brett Ratner has just started pre-production on a fourth Rush Hour film.

This is one of those articles that I hope is 100% wrong. After X3, Ratner needs to stay the hell away from CBMs.

WB has made alot dumbass decisions, but if this is true, this will be their biggest dumbass decision yet. Didn't Hollywood learn after X3 that Ratner should not direct comic book movies?

Wow... Hey, bring him in why don't ya! I'm ready WB just look at what he did with X-Men: The Last Stand (not entirely his fault anyway)... Man that movie, what a let down once I saw the trailer my expectations were so high, most anticipated movie that year for me. And once I saw it... Poof!!! It takes everything away and leaves me with a [frick]ing Danger Room.

Ha1frican - 8/28/2012, 1:39 PM
[frick] THAT. But i think the focus need to be not on who directs it but who writes it. Was Avengers amazing because he is an amazing director? Not really its because he is an amazing writer and as a director he stas true to his script. Get the writers in order, have DC/Warner keep a close grip on it, and it wont matter who directs it.
