Olympic Silver Medalist Joins The Cast Of THE WOLVERINE

Multiple eyewitnesses have reported seeing Naoya Ogawa on the set of Hugh Jackman's The Wolverine. He holds a record of seven medals at the World Judo Championships and is a two-time National Wrestling Alliance world heavyweight champion.

Apparently Naoya Ogawa has joined the cast of James Mangold's The Wolverine. Multiple eyewitnesses have seen him on set filming a scene that involves Hugh Jackman's character, Logan/Wolverine, chasing Naoya through the streets. Since the film is about Chris Claremont and Frank Miller's "Japanese Saga," and the main villains have already been cast, I would assume Naoya Ogawa is playing a member of The Hand. In the comic book Logan/Wolverine is left in the streets after losing a fight and The Hand try to kill him. Of course this doesn't go very well for The Hand.

9nun tweeted - "But I've seen too different dimension where Naoya Ogawa and Hugh Jackman are fighting shooting MEN Wolverine -!!! X. What is something!!!! Logan is chasing a man of large physique completely stupid (laughs). I spoke to Mr. Naoya Ogawa and! "Good luck" shooting (laughs)."

LUCYUKARI posted "Arrived at Fukuyama Station, Naoya Ogawa'm there, or even X-MEN Hey relationship he? Cho, Naoya Ogawa seems'm now in Fukuyama Station! What was hustle hustle!"

Naoya Ogawa isn't a name we know in the states, unless you're a huge Judo fan, but in Japan he is kind of a big deal. He is a Japanese former world judo champion, Olympic silver medalist, professional wrestler and mixed martial artist.

Fun Fact: I didn't know Judo is basically just throws, strangles and joint locks. I was watching one of Naoya's fights (which you can view above) and was wondering for about five minutes why there was so much grappling yet there weren't any kicks and punches.

The Wolverine will be directed by James Mangold (Knight and Day), from a script written by Christopher McQuarrie.. The cast includes: Hugh Jackamn (Logan/Wolverine), Svetlana Khodchenkova (Viper), Hiroyuki Sanada (Shingen), Hal Yamanouchi (Yashida), Tao Okamoto (Mariko), Rila Fukushima (Yukio), Brian Tee (Norubo Mori), and Will Yun Lee (Kenuichio Harada/Silver Samurai). The film will claw into theaters July 26, 2013.

Whilst the translations aren't very good (Google translate is shit, and people should know that by now),I can tell that whoever did the translations couldn't have been bothered to make some corrections to what are obvious errors, as in, "MEN Wolverine -!!! X."

...now they're LITERALLY hiring non-actors. I want a good wolverine movie. I really, really do. But none of the news being released is inspiring even a modicum of faith in me.

People, his character's probably only going to be used for action/fight sequences. Stop complaining about him not being an actor.

Wonder if it's the scene where Logan goes on a drunk with Yukio and ends up fighting in an underground ring with a renegade sumo. He actually picks him up over his head and dances a jig till the sumo smashes him in he face. So he throws him through a window.

Ok so obviously this movie is going to happen and we cant do anything about it so...fine. Hugh Hackman, you're a cool dude and a great actors playing a angry dude with metal claws. It just doesn't feel like wolverine.

After this can we Please get a short, muscled up actor in a Woverine Uniform!!! Even though he has been pissing me off for years in the comics I feel like I still haven't seen Wolverine in films yet. Can it be that hard? We have seen Logan, let's see a full out Wolverine with cowl and no excuses?

Ugh. Come on. Please?
