Gore Verbinski's The Lone Ranger has faced many challenges along the way as the budget ballooned to nearly $250 million, wind and dust storms caused delays, a crew member died during filming just last week, and even Johnny Depp was injured at one point when he fell off a horse. The ride has been bumpy and long, as it took 150 days to shoot, but all can rejoice as the film has finally wrapped. Now we just have to wait for the first teaser trailer, which is reportedly coming sooner than later.

The Lone Ranger will be released in theaters July 3, 2013. The film is being directed by Gore Verbinski and stars Armie Hammer as The Lone Ranger and Johnny Depp as Tonto. Also starring in the movie: Helena Bonham Carter, Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper and Timothy Hutton.

Really hate that the Lone Ranger has a suit on all the time it seems. Why not some jeans or something? Oh well, I'll make my decision when the trailer comes out.

I'll wait for RedBox on this one, if at all. I didn't want it to be this way, but they have ticked me off so much with the direction this movie was to take originally and how much it has skewed from the source material at this point that I just don't care about this one anymore.

I have some Native American friends & Johnny's profile, especially his nose looks like he's an Indian.
Hope that doesn't sound racist, just an observation.

I love westerns..hope this one is good.

My Native American friends are fans of Johnny Depp playing Tonto,so hopefully he does an admirable job.

I feel like Depp is a very good actor, but damn hollywood you couldn't have simply cast a native american actor?

So much for all the talk by Depp and the studio in regard to being respectful and not doing the stereotypical native american personification. Wearing war paint and the bird all the time is exactly the stereotype that native americans don't want. :-( That's why they have been so proactive as to opposing the sports teams that use the "warrior" and stereotypical native american depictions.

I have as much cherokee blood in me as Depp has and it irritates me to no end that we don't have an Adam Beach or Eddie Spears playing the part. My native american friends don't see eye to eye with yours sameoldthing, but it is Hollywood, so they can cast someone that could draw at the box office. I doubt once native americans see how Tonto is being portrayed (just basing that off the images to date), that they are going to be overly tickled with how the studio is painting him...pun intended.

Yeah i like good westerns too and i hope this succeeds but that damn dead bird annoys the hell out of me.
When they announced that they are making The Lone Ranger movie i pictured it to be similar to Dynamite Entertainment´s comic. That would have been awesome. :)
