The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular has returned once again to The Roger Williams Park Zoo, and if you happen to live near Providence you should take a stroll through the trails. Over five thousand pumpkins are currently on display, and the event is open til November 3rd. Below you can find some of the fantastically geeky pumpkins that feature scenes from iconic and popular movies like Batman Returns, Terminator and Lord of the Rings.

I wish I had the Halloween one so I could put it near my bowl of candy outside and I'd put a sign next to it saying "See the guy on the pumpkin? Take my candy and he's comming for you"

Im calling photoshop on that. No way some one carved those. The later half, maybe by a super professional artist. But the first part ones no way. Im saying the detail on the first half is photoshop. Its WAY to detailed.

Those are all fantastic, but my favourite has to be Gandalf vs The Belrog.

Also, I'd love to see the look on Johnny Depp's face if someone showed him that picture of the pumpkin carved to look like him in Dark Shadows. I imagine his expression would be similar to the pumpkin's.

Oh and as for Batman ones, I think a Calendar Man one would be sweet, he's a creepy obscure villain who is suited to any holiday.

I live in Providence, RI and go to this every year. The RISD (rhode island school of design) kids do the majority of the pumpkins.

Photoshopped pumpkins that just retarded. To carve a pumpkin to that detail would take more man hours than the life span of the pumpkin its self after being picked.
