Two more days!

The pilot, written by Bryan Fuller and to be directed by Bryan Singer, is described as a reinvention of the 1960s sitcom about The Munsters, a family of “monsters” — vampires, werewolves and Frankenstein, and their “plain” cousin (Charity Wakefield) — that will feature striking visuals in the vein of Fuller’s ABC dramedy Pushing Daisies. O’Connell will play family patriarch, the handsome and gangly Herman Munster, a great dad and devoted husband. He is married to Lily, a vampire, with whom he has fathered a 10-year-old boy, Eddie (Mason Cook). Strong but sentimental, Herman works at a funeral home, and worries that Eddie’s transformation into a werewolf and burgeoning awareness of his family’s origins will crush the boy’s spirit.

Hmmmm... not sure if I like what I'm seeing or not on this show. I guess it depends on how the reviewers like it then I may or may not watch it.

@batz11-- I think the official word is that it's been knocked down to just the pilot episode as a Halloween special, but NBC has given them the option to continue the series if the special gets enough views and/or positive reviews.

I'm loving the look of this show, I wished we would of seen a whole series. And I think it would of done better as a feature film. Looks like a fun re-imagining and looks very creative and funny. Classic Bryan Fuller so I'm very excited

I understand why they would want to revamp this and make it into something more modern, but the reason why the original Munsters family was so greatly put together was that they were truly Monsters, they looked like Monsters, but it posed the question how would monsters be able to cope within the world if they were civilized monsters... That I think is why the original idea fits better than the one they came up with, and take my word, this show won't last long...

@DeadlyWhistle

That's exactly it. The fun part was watching how normal people reacted to them and vice versa.

In this version there's no sense of irony - it looks like a drama rather than a comedy.

Somethings just shouldn't be remade but left alone.
