Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. The film will be released on DVD and Blu-ray November 9th.

jesus christ. i didn't think it was possible for webb to [frick] up uncle ben's death any more than he already did...well yea i was waaaaay wrong.

fire the prick and save this franchise now, because after the next one it'll be too late. he drives me crazy with his justification speeches on the changes they made from the books. THEY STOOD THE TEST OF TIME FOR A REASON YOU ASSHOLE.

and for the next one, why bother having a mask at all mr webb? [frick] it, just get rid of the mask all together that way garfield won't have to walk around carrying it like a douch bag.

webb ruined an excellent opportunity with an excellent cast. as director it was his responsibility to fight for the spider-man/peter parker legacy & the things that matter. he failed.

Still won't buy this on Blu-ray. Come to think of it I should really have asked for my money back at the box office. Peter Parker's portayal was a disgrace. Whiney, distant,argumentative, always giving Uncle Ben and Aunt May a hard time, stealing stuff you name it. Peter is meant to be an everyman but in TASM he's a nobody.

the movie kicked enough ass without these scenes, they should have added these back in, (minus the girls in the bathroom) it would have made the movie soo much better

Wow, Uncle Ben's alternative death, Connors' son, Connors entering the sewer, the sewer confrontation, Ratha's death (AND the Lizard in his lab coat)...

Why, Sony?

The only scene worth keeping was the second one. The final product didn't need to have all that other crap.

Why the hell is he yelling at someone else to call for an ambulance when it showed him with cellphone not even a minute before the shooting?

@M3T4LL0 - I also caught that in cinemas and was told I was being an ass.

Same applies to why it never crosses his mind to take photo evidence on his phone before going to the cops. You'd think a guy who is known for being smart and is a photographer and has a cellphone would make a plan.

@SpectacularSpider

Don't get it either.

I liked the movie as a whole. It had its flaws, but I still liked it a good deal. Some of these scenes were pointless, but some would've been pretty good to leave in. I'll probably buy the Blu-ray of it.

Also, what's with that first comment, nailbiter? I honestly don't think Andrew looks near 30 at all. He's 28 and to me, he honestly looks to be around 20 or so. I've seen plenty of guys at my university that look 30, but are only 20 or so. Honestly, his age isn't really a problem.

If you're ever using a urinal don't look down. You just might associate that big red penis on Spiderman's costume with yours.
