Oscar-winning special effects veteran, Chris Corbuld, has been creating vehicles for all three of Christopher Nolan's Batman films. He began in 2005's
Batman Begins with the half Lamborghini, half tank vehicle, The Tumbler, and then the Batpod for the sequel,
The Dark Knight. And lastly he put together Batman's flying vehicle, "The Bat," for
The Dark Knight Rises. But Corbuld didn't want to conquer the skies, he was thinking of an water vehicle instead. "I was heavily pushing for a Batboat," he said. "I love working on water and thought it would have been a great Bat-vehicle. Chris felt that it wasn't big enough for the last in his trilogy so he went for [The Bat instead]."
The Dark Knight Rises will be released on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Download on December 4th. The film stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, Gary Oldman as Jim Gordon, Tom Hardy as Bane, Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle, Joseph Gordon-Levitt as John "Robin" Blake and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate/Talia al Ghul.
