A crash landing leaves teenager Kitai Raige (Jaden Smith) and his legendary father Cypher (Will Smith) stranded on Earth, 1,000 years after cataclysmic events forced humanity’s escape. With Cypher critically injured, Kitai must embark on a perilous journey to signal for help, facing uncharted terrain, evolved animal species that now rule the planet, and an unstoppable alien creature that escaped during the crash. Father and son must learn to work together and trust one another if they want any chance of returning home.


AFTER EARTH is directed by M. Night Shyamalan, and the script was written by Gary Whitta and M. Night Shyamalan. The film stars Will Smith, Jaden Smith, Isabelle Fuhrman, and Zoë Kravitz. It hits theaters June 7, 2013

Shyamallamalamamalaman has nothing to do with the writing on this so it may indeed be good. I actually don't think it looks that bad....apart from the very very CGI animals

Will Smith does few bad movies, I said few. M. Night didn't write this script, he did rewrites. I have a little faith in this mainly because of the cast.

@imadick, that makes sense. He probably visits sites like this all the time and reads all the comments. So he's gonna' try something different, but judging from the trailer (and your associate) it looks pretty "meh." Such a shame, The Sixth Sense was great, I realy liked Signs, and Unbreakable is one of my all time favorite movies, ever.
