I'm sure it's just one of the hundreds of suits made for this movie. That specific suit (or suit type) is used for wire rigs. I'm sure the suit after post production will look fine, everyone complained about the last suit in set pictures but it looked AMAZING on screen.(pun intended) My biggest complaint is the belt, and lack of TASM elements in the suit.

I thought it looked too much like Raimi's at first, but with every pic released I see so many subtle (but awesome) differences. I LOVE this look. Seriously one of my favorite looks for spidey. The eyes, the webs, the colors...well done Marc Webb and co. Looks an awful lot like the Ultimate Spiderman suit, which is a plus in my book.

the suit in this picture looks really shiney kind of strange. But as someone above me mentioned its probly a certain stunt suit or something and will look better when theres actual trailer footage or something.

I'm really liking the Ultimate Spidey look though

Why does it look so boxy? Are there wires in the suit?

Really glad this new suit looks less like a basketball.

On thing I really do like about TASM is how skinny they made spidey. He was too buff in Raimi's films imo.

Some of these shots, they shouldn't have taken.lol

In some shots the suit looks good. Others, it looks cheap.

I think the belt on this new suit could have been better than just a straight line though. Maybe just thinner at least.

Wish the rims of the eyes were thicker, that would really distinguish the suit no matter how much it looks like Raimi's. Other than that, it looks really EXTREMELY good, just wish it looked more aerodynamic and slimming.

I like the suit, the problem I have is the person who wears the suit. Garfield. I still don't accept him as Spider-man.

@THEDARKKINGHT yea he has that big vest inside of it.

These pics actually make the suit look extremely cool and it's less cartoony. I dig it, not quite as enthusiastic about the movie though. I don't wanna get to excited

I hated the first films suit when it was first shown in set pics, but the more I seen it the more I liked it. This one, I just hate it the more I see it, really hope it looks better on screen.

What the hell is wrong with you guys? All you guys do is diss the movie. When this design first came out you praised it, now you despise it? Why, because it looks too "cheesy?" What? You guys hated the first movie's design!

Other than the mask, the first movie had a decent design. The only problem was that the lines were too straight which made it look like a basketball.

Also you guys are dissing Raimi at the same time, which is ironic. Maybe the film wouldn't be too much like its predecessor if everyone were too stop complaining! The reason Amazing Spider-Man wasn't unique was because of Sony listening to what we all had to say:

"There is no need for a reboot, what we had was perfect."

So this is all our faults, the best thing to do is to shut up and help give Marc as much creative control as needed.

Also, you can tell Spider-Man not to be a tweeny movie when it stops having a 17 year old as the main character.

Seriously guys just shut up
You all complained and moaned about the first suit not being like the comic version and how Sam raimis was better
The second movie comes and has a suit pretty much straight out of the comic books and you say it's cheesy and critique the stupidest crap at it
Fans are NEVER satisfied I tell ya
