First batch of art comes from Film Sketchr's latest article that features Ron Mendell's design for Tony Stark's (Robert Downey Jr.) chest reactor and his cognition headset, that allows him to control the Mark 42 suit. Below those are storyboards that Martin Mercer created. The first set is for Savin (James Badge Dale) in Rose Hill, while the next set is of Iron Patriot ambushed in Afghanistan. Lastly, we have yet another VFX breakdown video that Digital Domain has released. This one shows the barrel of monkey's Air Force One scene, and the second half of the video shows the different CGI armors.

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3″ pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Iron Man 3 was directed by Shane Black, and will hit theaters May 3, 2013! The film stars: Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Gwyneth Paltrow (Virginia Potts), Don Cheadle (Col. James Rhodes), and Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin.

This movie was like TDKR to me. Had it's faults but I still loved it.

What I find funny are the Nolanites (Wonderer) who praised Nolan for being original yet hate on Black for doing the same.

And the Marvelites (Intruder) who hated on Nolan for deviating from the comics yet praises Marvel for being original.

Not hating on anyone. Just pointing out truth.

Loved this movie. I enjoy movies much more when I get something unexpected, which was definitely what we all got... Especially with all the marketing making it seem like te movie was spoiled before even seeing it. Wait...that's what all the trolls on here did when they spoiled the twist to try and ruin it for the rest of us. Thank god I stayed away until after I saw it...

Too bad to all the haters that didn't get another cookie-cutter bad guy Vs. good guy story...

I loved it, I'd agree with guardian that it was like TDKR: flawed but entertaining. I appreciated the twist but also kind of mourn the loss of a true Mandarin.

And another hollow Marvel film. Shame, because I love the Marvel superheroes; their movies are just comedies that don't have an emotional core. Such a pity.

The biggest problem with "the twist" is that it wasn't really a twist. It's not like Killian was just a businessman then AWWWW SHIT he's the bad guy! From the opening scene you knew he was the bad guy, then they told u he was second in command then he was back to being the only bad guy... When the bad guy turns into the bad guy, it's not a twist - it's boring.

And someone explain to me all the Mandarin references in the other movies if he's just a sideshow to explain people blowing up from extremis. And why an "actor" got the Captain America Anarchy Tattoo on the back of his neck. And why Killian is the only one who can breathe fire. And why Killian has an army of ninjas, b/c extremis doesn't teach you karate. And why Stark was just like "Hell I should probably get rid of this shrapnel in my heart." Camera cut, bust out the magnet. Finished!

Tony Stark - Arc Reactor= Man, not iron man.
I was so excited for this movie..... what a [frick]ing letdown. screw the twist, the ending takes the cake!

Luckily Star Trek was AMAZING! It got the baad taste outta my mouth

@Bobevanz

So, Tony w/o the arc reactor is just a man? In the comics, he doesn't even have the arc reactor. He removed it many, many years ago.

Also, Into Darkness wasn't that amazing. It was fun, but also dumb.
