Aaron Taylor-Johnson Featured In Latest GODZILLA Set Video & Photos

Actor, Aaron Taylor-Johnson ("Kick-Ass 2"), was spotted on the set of Godzilla. Not surprising, but what was interesting, was that Aaron was filming scenes in plain clothes, surrounded by extras dressed as soldiers. Hit the jump to check it out.

Steveston, British Columbia is no stranger to Hollywood, as the village has been used by ABC for their popular fantasy television series, Once Upon a Time, as the location of Storybrooke. But over the past few days, the fishing village has been transformed to look like the San Francisco area. Apparently Godzilla will stomp his way through Frisco, but not without a fight from the United States military.

GODZILLA is being directed by Gareth Edwards ("Monsters"), from a screenplay by Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont and Dave Callaham. The cast includes: Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, and Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston. The film will stomp into theaters May 16, 2014.

Let me guess, Godzilla's appearance and attacks become a major threat to the World, and the President drafts many non-soldiers into war, which include Aaron (and maybe this scene is his first time in the Army). To be honest I always thought Aaron would be bad as a Soldier, not until I saw the set photos of this movie, he really bulked up! Now what's left is his performance, which to be honest is not that bad.

I agree, maybe is his personality, but that alongside what you said could work for his character in the movie, maybe he starts like that, being a normal citizen in his early 20s leaving a normal life then like what I said above BOOM Godzilla appears and war is declared on him, and Aaron is called out to War. When you think of it, it could be interesting to see on the big screen, a character on something that he or she is not ready for.

I mean Godzilla would [frick]ing rip even Pacific Rim monsters to pieces if it got the chance.

Take notes from Pacific Rim and put Godzilla against monsters like Ghidorah, Mechagodzilla, Biollante, Destroyah, Space Godzilla, Gigan etc.

This looks more like a remake of the one from the 90's. I wanna see him battle monsters! Who cares about the human element. Make Godzilla your star hollywood!

I love ATJ. Very talented man, and he adds to the appeal of a movie. Same goes for Chris Evans. Two of the best men in Hollywood! I don't see ATJ ever taking the CA mantle away from Evans, though.

Grif has a point. In a creature feature, the creature NEEDS to be the feature, and needs to look good too. I wouldn't say Pacific Rim has this beat yet, only time will tell that. Either way I hope both are quality movies, and successful, so this genre will get more exposure.
