GODZILLA To Assault Golden Gate Bridge; First Look At Bryan Cranston & New Cast Member

A new photo has surfaced online that features our first look at Bryan Cranston on the set of Godzilla. He is posing with child actor, CJ Adams, who starred in last year's The Odd Life of Timothy Green. He'll be playing Cranston's son in the film.

CJ Adams' real life dad, MattAdams, tweeted a picture of his son standing beside his new movie-dad, Bryan Cranston ("Breaking Bad"). This is the first time we have seen Bryan Cranston on the set of Godzilla, and it also reveals that CJ has joined the cast.

And below you will find photos of scenes being filmed. The first set is from the website, yvrshoots.com. According to them, and a filming notice (check below), Godzilla is going to attack San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. To create this scene in Canada, they erected an enormous inflatable green screen at the Kent Hangar gravel field.
"Rust-red street lights and railings. Giant greenscreens. Motorists and buses trapped on the bridge. Soldiers. Cop cars. Schoolkid extras looked out the windows of Oakland, Alameda and Freemont school district buses as tanks with soldiers rolled by yesterday."

The second set, is of a scene being filmed off the Steveston docks. According to Leighton Matthews, "the shoot seemed to be centered on the chopper following a boat up and down the river."

GODZILLA is being directed by Gareth Edwards ("Monsters"), from a screenplay by Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont and Dave Callaham. The cast includes: Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, and Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston. The film will stomp into theaters May 16, 2014.

@Jobin The scene they showed at Comic Con isn't even part of the movie, it was pretty much test footage, doubt the finalised version ofGodzilla will look like that.

@Jobin

Godzilla works best when he's treated as a natural disaster, like a hurricane or Tornado, a force of nature, something that you cant predict, understand or stop. He should save Earth and humans albeit unintentionally from other monsters e.g. a rampaging monster attacks him first, which leads to Godzilla retaliating. Similar to how they did it in Godzilla vs King Ghidorah where Godzilla was still a destructive danger to the world but was used to stop Ghidorah which was almost an even bigger threat. You can only do Godzilla vs military so many times before it gets repetitive, we'll most likely see every man made weapon used against Godzilla in this movie, so he's got to fight other monsters or biological weapons/creatures in the movie or the sequel.

Here's the prototype design that they're going to use for the film.

Godzilla isn't THE DANGER in this film, Heisenberg is. But hopefully he stomps on Skyler:P

Now, what kind of assault are we talking about? The kids would be shocked to see a giant force of nature humping a bridge support beam. "Bad Godzilla, BAD!! Don't make me get the squirt bottle!"

The biggest crime of Emerich's Godzilla was that they changed him from a force of nature to a freak of nature. The second biggest was that the monster design didn't look like a Godzilla. I liked the streamlined body - it looked more dinosaur like. But the face was awful. Third biggest crime was the velocizillas. That was inexcusable.

And anyone who couldn't enjoy Godzilla: Final Wars isn't a Godzilla fan. Soccer game scene notwithstanding it was a great homage to the 60's & 70's Godzilla flicks and probably one of the liveliest (and implausible) plots of any Godzilla film. Plus it was fun to count how many American flicks the director ripped off - Matrix, Xmen, Star Wars, ID4...

He should look like Hesei Godzilla, especially the 1984 and 1991 look.
