Filming for Michael Bay's Transformers 4 continued in Texas, and this time much of it focused on a beat up cab-over-engine truck, that happens to look a lot like the original Optimus prime from the 1984 toy line. Also, more pics of Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz & TJ Miller.

Starring in "Transformers 4" is Jack Reynor in the starring role of a race car driver. The talented and beautiful Nicola Peltz has been cast in the female lead role of Reynor's girlfriend. Mark Wahlberg has signed on to play Nicola's father Flynn Vincent. Sophia Myles will play a major role as a scientist. Peter Cullen returns as the voice of Optimus Prime, and Glenn Morshower reprises his role as General Morshower. Kelsey Grammer was recently cast as the lead villain named "Harold Attinger". Directors Guild of America DGA Award winner Michael Bay will return to direct his fourth installment of the film series from a screenplay written by Ehren Kruger.


TRANSFORMERS 4 will be directed by Michael Bay, from a script written by Ehren Kruger. The cast includes: Mark Wahlberg, Kelsey Grammar, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci and Jack Reynor. Set for release on June 27th, 2014!

I doubt its Optimus.

Bay is big on trying not to mass shift. Optimus looks too big to fit into that thing. Its either another bot, or something. Probably just a nod to the fans stuck in the 80s.

A dirty, rusty Optimus, just like the dirty, rusty VW Beetle in the first one. Michael Bay's way of saying "The original sucked. Mine is way better." Then he went back to smashing his Tonka trucks together on the kitchen floor. "VROOM VROOM!" Douche.

I always wondered by manufactures stopped making those flat-faced trucks? I remember seeing tons of them around when I was a kid, and obviously classic Optimus.

But I don't think I've seen one of those in like 15 years.

Same idiot writers who pen Transformers into a action comedy are the ones responsible for regressing Star Trek from intelligent scifi into yet another dumb action comedy yet Dumb fanboys liked that!

As long as its somebodies elses thing that's being Hollywoodized into another dumb action comedy, fanboys are fine with it. But if it's one of their fan-favourites form their childhood days being messed with then they go into full tantrum mode.

I hope the new Transformers movie turns out to be a 4th blockbuster hit in a row for Michael Bay just so these idiots can continue wasting their breath dissing him for making films that everyone else worldwide seem to love immensely.

It could be Optimus. Perhaps after so many years of sitting idle...the faded flames look like the ones from the fresher truck we saw from before. I'm curious how many years have passed since the huge battle in Transformers 3?

@Ceejay, completely agree with you on that point. notice how all these people say they hated the first film, then they watched the second one and hated that, then the third and hated that. if your stupid enough to keep watching a franchise you hate, then you cant moan about them making a fourth one, because they know even these stupid people are still gonna go see it as well as the fans.
