ENDER'S GAME, directed by Gavin Hood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), and the cast includes: Asa Butterfield, Ben Kingsley, Harrison Ford, Hailee Steinfeld, Abigail Breslin and Viola Davis. Coming to theaters November 1, 2013!

In the near future, a hostile alien race called the Formics have attacked Earth. If not for the legendary heroics of International Fleet Commander Mazer Rackham (Ben Kingsley), all would have been lost. In preparation for the next attack, the highly esteemed Colonel Hyrum Graff (Harrison Ford) and the International Military are training only the best young minds to find the future Mazer.

Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield), a shy but strategically brilliant boy, is recruited to join the elite. Arriving at Battle School, Ender quickly and easily masters increasingly difficult challenges and simulations, distinguishing himself and winning respect amongst his peers. Ender is soon ordained by Graff as the military’s next great hope, resulting in his promotion to Command School. Once there, he’s trained by Mazer Rackham himself to lead his fellow soldiers into an epic battle that will determine the future of Earth and save the human race.

Why people feel like they have to down MOS on a thread that has nothing to do with the movie.. It's getting a sequel and its ten times better than Iron man 3.. Anyways I'm interested in this movie becuz of the cast

@gambgel - Maybe, but none of that seems to be in evidence here. No neon costumes and no suits of armor.

If anything most of this looks pretty similar to the costume designs from JJ Abram's Star Trek 2009. Similar jump suits and face tattoo. But then all that is superficial, this book was written back in the 1980's so making it today will only mean using the variations on concepts and designs that are currently available and widely used by every SFX company.

its pretty obvious how IronMan and Tron have influenced many sci-fi movies, in terms of costumes and outfits.

Nope that was Angela Bassett in GL, but Viola Davis with some weight added to her would make a great Waller! Davis is amazing and I felt she was overlooked in Solaris; not a giant role, but important and well done.

@gambgel

Just wait.., I bet the version of Quicksilver in Avengers 2 borrows heavily from Tron.., especially with Marvel being under the mouse house, but you never know. :)

Visuals: think Lightcycles.

Agreed.., we would not want such a literary piece to end up in Fantastic Four, FF: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Ghost Rider, Daredevil, or GL territory.

True Grit: Haillee Steinfeld. She was praised for that role and could have a great career ahead of her. Haillee doesn't seem to be there for the wrong reasons.

Every time I read the book, I always interpreted the character Viola Davis is playing as a younger guy.
