The website, comicbooktherapy (via AidarSM), has posted a deleted scene from the Chinese cut of Iron Man 3, that features Fan Bingbing and Wang Xueqi. Now, the nearly three-minute clip is in Chinese, so if you don't speak the language you can always turn off the sound and have fun creating your own dialogue. Or, for the more ambitious geeks out there you could pick up Rosetta Stone and learn a new language. Or, maybe you have a friend that can translate Chinese. Either way, enjoy the clip.

Marvel Studios’ “Iron Man 3″ pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Iron Man 3 was directed by Shane Black, from a screenplay written by Drew Pearce. The film opened in theaters May 3, 2013. It stars: Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Gwyneth Paltrow (Virginia Potts), Don Cheadle (Col. James Rhodes), and Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin.

Absurd. What the hell is this over-emphasised Chinese rubbish with there Asian actors grandstanding and over-egging their parts?.
Is this supposed to be compensation for the Chinese market to counter any anti-Chinese sentiment re: The MAndarin being (traditionally) Asian?.
These long talkie segments between no-name nursey and the Chinese surgeon.... Is this really what it takes to sell a western film in the Chinese market nowadays?.
Jeezus!. >.<

I bet they're just talking about their displeasure with the Mandarin being a corny British actor.

I remember hearing that Marvel Studios gave the movie some Chinese element for it's big opening there, but I'm a bit surprised it was all the way at the end of the movie.

That picture of a red Iron man among all the kiddies clad in red.... Its Iron Man not communist-party robot man.

Ridiculous!.

That was the best scene of the movie. Why did they delete it out? No wonder why it turned out to be a disappointment.

Stupidest part in the entire movie. Removing Arc Reactor. Completely contradicting Part 1 and 2's purpose. And yes, they added the Chinese actors since China funded the majority of Iron Man 3's budget.
NoAssemblyReqd
NoAssemblyReqd - 8/14/2013, 3:58 AM
@DrStampe17 I think the ease with which they removed the shrapnel was the movie's way of saying that Tony had been keeping the arc reactor within him because he WANTED it. It was his baby, and also the source of his rebirth, and he would rather die than see his creation fail. After all, in his mind, the reactor is what makes him special.

In IRON MAN 3 he learns to let go of that belief, but he is still confident in himself at the end to say "I AM IRON MAN."

IIRC, they did the the same thing with GODZILLA 1985, inserting scenes featuring Orson Welles, except much more extensively.

@TH3FR3M - It feels out of place when I first saw it in the theatres so I don't feel the need to translate it in full. I remember there's one where Dr.Wu calls Jarvis to check upon Tony Stark.
@bropous - I'm honestly at a loss of words since being Chinese, I don't know how should I react to your words.
