AMAZING SPIDER-MAN VFX Breakdowns: Lizard's Transformation & Bridge Sequence

In the two videos below, you will see Pixomondo's contributions to Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man. They worked on the Williamsburg Bridge sequence, which is when Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans) experiences his first transformation into The Lizard, as he tries to stop Dr. Rajit Ratha (Irrfan Khan) from getting to the VA hospital. Once Connors fully transforms, he goes on a rampage tossing cars off the bridge, and this is when Spidey (Andrew Garfield) swoops in to save the day.

The Amazing Spider-Man is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance - leading him directly to Oscorp and the lab of Dr Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

The Amazing Spider-Man was directed by Marc Webb, from a screenplay written by James Vanderbilt, Alvin Sargent and Steve Kloves. The cast included: Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Denis Leary, Rhys Ifans, Martin Sheen, and Sally Field. Its now available on DVD and Blu-ray.

This is the best movie ever made better than: TDK, Avengers, Ironman, Godfather 1+2, A clockwork Orange, Goodfellas, Pulp Fiction, and every other movie that is your favorite.

All I have to say is the bridge part was the lamest first meeting between a hero and a villain ever considering they never fought or Spidey tried to stop him.

This is getting old. Leave your insults directed towards me below about how I dislike this film.

Good night.

I liked TASM. I think it was an equal to Spider-Man 1 and better than Spider-Man 3. Was it perfect? No, but it isn't as bad as people on here make it out to be.

I loved how the first time he used his powers and web shooters he was around civilians without a mask. I think that was a brilliant touch to the keeping your secret identity bit.
