Giants and Dragons! Oh My!

In the third season of the hit HBO® drama series Game of Thrones, the Lannisters are barely holding onto power after a savage naval onslaught from Stannis Baratheon, while stirrings in the North threaten to alter the overall balance of power in Westeros. Robb Stark, King in the North, is facing major calamity in his efforts to build on his victories over the Lannisters while beyond the Wall, Mance Rayder (played by Ciarian Hinds) and his huge army of wildlings continue their inexorable march south. Across the Narrow Sea, Daenerys Targaryen - reunited with her three fast-maturing dragons - attempts to raise an army to sail with her from Essos, in hopes of eventually claiming the Iron Throne.

Aaron Eckart in my opinion had the most underrated performance in TDK, since he was overshadowed by Heath Ledgers Joker.

Aaron Eckharts Two Face is so underrated. I wish he was not killed off so quickly.

Yeah Harvey's last outing with Batman was very emotional and thrilling. I wanted him to survive that fall so bad!!! Like an after credits scene with the body being gone or something!

@TonyChu Two-Face as the main villain of TDKR? That being said, if he was the villain, it probably wouldn't even be titled TDKR.

I'm sorry but Two-Face looked too grueling and brutal, it was seriously hard to watch even now. I mean you have to be in an immense amount of pain if half your face is burned off. It felt like he was just suddenly walking it off like it was nothing throughout the entire movie. You didn't get a feel or understood the pain that he went through, only emotional as we understood but not physically if you count the part where it actually happened. There was no sense of realism at all. To me I felt the Tommy Lee Jones version of Two-Face, although cartoony in nature nailed the essence of the character more in a psychotic way.

In all due saying Aaron Eckhart's Two-face was more of an emotional journey even though having the psychotic look too him and the Tommy Lee Jones version threaded along a more psychotic journey even though they gave him more of a cartoonish look too him. They are a definite both hit and miss on the character.

@BlackJack

i don't believe this rumor. Nolan just started to work on Interstellar in Canada. There's no way he would convince WB to try to go with Bentley. He haven't even started to work with him yet.

They could have kept him alive. I think it would have been better to put him in Arkham. Then when Gordon said Dent was dead, technically he was.

@Mike89

I completely agree with you, Aaron Eckhart made Harvey Dent compelling in a way that only the legend that is Gary Oldman comes close to in this trilogy. His final scene was mesmerising and without trying to speak ill of, or make light of the tragedy of Ledger's death, Dent was significantly better a character.

That said, I think Dent was "fleshed out" in a way they deliberately avoided with Joker, who they have often said they wanted to simply appear out of nowhere as an absolute.

While Harvey Dent looked cool, and it's a shame they killed him off, no human could possibly live with his face that disfigured.

That's the problem with the Batman franchises and why they have to keep rebooting them - they keep killing off the main villains and can't bring them back if needed.
The only exception, and I guess the only villain in Arkham, is the Scarecrow.

@ grampgeezer

they didn't necessarily kill off All the villains... Scarcrow, The Joker, Carmine Falcone, Catwoman and Victor Zsasz.... and im sure in the new universe, (Man of steel shared universe) most of the villains will be kept alive (Being such a great Rogues gallery) and they wont go the Iron Man/ Raimi Spiderman roué and kill off all the villains. Look at X-Men and Thor, both kept Magneto and Loki (Main villains) alive and it was the greatest thing to do!

And im sure Nolan would have had a plan for Ledger to return if not for his unfortunate demise...

LOL @ Reasonnnn! Too funny.

Too bad they didn't use Two-Face in part 3 instead of 2. Having him as the main villian would have made that a much better movie.
