TASM2 - Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

The extras are actually just fleeing away from this terrible movie.

I doubt it. As much as I'd like to see Spider-Man and Hulk kicking ass together I think the studios would clash too much. They'd never agree

Ok, 60% of that was news to me. Sounds like a cross over is pretty likely actually. That said, I wish it was Tobey Mcguire instead but I'd still love to see it.

@CoulsonLives

Just because Garfield expressed interest doesn't mean it will happen. He is just an actor in the series, not a producer. Hugh Jackman has expressed interest in teaming up with the Avengers but that isn't going to happen any time soon. He is actually a producer of the Wolverine films as well as the star but that doesn't mean it is any closer to happening. The studios will never come up with a way to split the profits and that is all they care about, they don't care about giving the fans what they want. The toys that are released for the films are just toys. Licensing for the characters in that regard is way different then actual live action portrayals.

But can't Wolverine be in The Avengers like Quicksilver and Scarlett Witch

As much i love Avengers and TASM, then I do not want Avengers and TASM crossover.
I mean really, if there are superheroes before Peter Parker, then story should be different because it really looks in movie that Spider-Man is world first superhero. Also, if there were Superhero, then Peter would act diffentrly and so do others.

It does not fit in same world.

Coulson, you have no clue how copywrites work. They are limited to the movies themselves, Marvel still retains the rights, and in reality, Garfeild could show up on the AoS TV show as Peter or Spiderman if they really wanted, and not infringe on any rights. Same applies to videogames. Granted, I do agree with you, and have said it for a while, the money that can be made by just playing nice with the studios, is a win win for all, providing Marvel can keep continuity in check.

Keep in mind its speculated that Sony is going to dump the Spiderman frnachise as its already being reset and fast tracked for a round of movies, they wont be able or want to drag it out for another 10 years, and reboot yet again.

Sony are stupid not to tie Spider-man to the MCU.

Amazing Spider-man 2 would hit a $billion if a crossover was leaked & that Nick Fury was showing up.

They could make an explanation of continuity issues by having Garfield appear in an episode of Agents of SHIELD.
