If it was on the laser disc, how can it be never before seen?

I like that third version a lot better than what was put in Return of the Jedi.

Yoda comes off as jerk in these scenes now that we've witnessed what went down in the prequels. He's busting Lukes balls about coming to the aid of his friends when Yoda had his big chance to put an end to the Emperor and his new apprentice before they even got into full swing. Hey short and ugly you couldn't even sense a Sith Lord when you were in the same room with him.

its selling here in Australia and its called the Star Wars Trilogy - The Definitive Collection..it was released in the summer of '93 and featured all three films in the CAV format across 9 laserdiscs. All the movies had been remastered to THX standards, with the video cleaned up by state of the art techniques and the soundtracks remixed from original elements.
The first pressings of this set was missing a few seconds of footage from The Empire Strikes Back and a replacement program was soon implemented.
A very cool collector's item.

I have the Definitive Collection on Laserdisc to this day. The CAV version was the best, because it had the highest quality picture, but you couldn't put much on the disc. Most of the other sets were in lower quality so as to put more of the movie on one disc Side A and B.

It's me or the acting of Mark Hamill looks quite bland compared to a muppet!

How do you not look bland when the script says you're supposed to just stand there and listen and not speak?
Give Mark a break.

This scene, Luke vs Vader and the Death Star Battle are what made ROTJ worth watching in the end
