Born into a world filled with prejudice are children who possess extraordinary and dangerous powers-the result of unique genetic mutations. Cyclops unleashes bolts of energy from his eyes. Storm can manipulate the weather at will. Rouge absorbs the life force of anyone she touches. But under the tutelage of Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart), these and other outcasts learn to harness their powers for the good of mankind. Now they must protect those who fear them as the nefarious Magneto (Ian Mckellen), who believes humans and mutants can never co-exist, unveils his sinister plan for the future!

X-Men (2000) was directed by Bryan Singer, from a screenplay written by David Hayter. The cast included: Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn-Stamos, Ray Park, and Anna Paquin. On a budget of $70 million, it earned $290 million at the worldwide box office.

That looks awesome!! [frick] Singer for giving us black leather costumes -___- If DOFP doesn't deliever, much like TASM2, I'm also done with the franchise. The Wolverine was great up until the part Wolverine talked shit to the ninja's then ran away like a pussy. I'll will give DOFP a chance since X1,X2 and FC were great.

Just watching that trailer takes me back because who in the hell was Hugh Jackman before this movie?!?! If Dougray Scott didn't have that X-tra overtime in MI2, he could have had Hugh's career!!!

I still enjoy the 1st X-Men and think it is a great movie, Hugh rules, and Tyler Mane should have been WWE champion.

Not this debate again. Lets just put it out there. There is no data or statistics that prove these comic book movies that opt for black leather costumes or no costumes at all would have done financially worse of the characters wore costumes that were close to the source material. I understand that the capes, pirate boots and spandex with different color undies may look silly on a movie screen, but why not modernize the traditional costumes? Iron Man, Captain America (The First Avenger), Thor (minus helmet), Daredevil, Blade, Spiderman, ect. It is pretty silly to create a movie about humans with super powers, but be caught up in whether the audience will accept the super humans costume.

Those costumes look horrible.

However Wolverines costume in the deleted scene of The Wolverine looks good. The studio just needs better artists.

Not that its to hard to translate that to the big screen, it just that FOX are to scared and wimpy to give it a try, looks to be working for Marvel Studios so far cuz they have an awesome art department...Learn to take risks like ur " big brother " studio FOX, learn...LoL

when will fans quit being butthurt about the lack of "true to the comics skintight costumes"? It would look like a bunch of tour de france bikers. I hope that eventually some CBM director releases a test screening with an extremely literal adaptation of a comic book costume just so fans will shut up about the topic.

Anyone who prefers these to the black uniforms is not thinking clearly. These would have looked stupid on screen.

Black leather is not very creative.
Also, Brian Singer sucks and so do all the X-Men movies.
