X-Wing, Tie Fighter, and X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter were the greatest flight sims ever made, so yeah, I hope this is just like them. Those games have needed an update for such a LONG time!

Looks like junk. This preview was boring and stiff, terrible voice acting and I'm especially sick of how everything Star Wars related as the same throwaway lines and sounds. That flat Han Solo 'yahoo!' ... That dumb R2 noise. Nothing original or interesting has come out of the SW universe since the Thrawn saga.

Knowing entirely that it is a rehash, I am quite excited. I spent so many hours as a teen playing X-Wing, Tie Fighter, XW vs. TF, Alliance... I am certainly open to hopping back in a star fighter. I've played Alliance a lot with the crowdsourced HD skins, custom missions... but this seems like it will be a breath of fresh air.

Oh for ****s sakes!..... All we want is a modern update to x-wing vs tie-fighter - not all this F2P multi-player EA-crap that is stuffed to the rafters with overpriced micro-transactions.

As a child I was a big fan. I know astro mechs make that noise when damaged, but it was thrown in there as fan service without reason or a newer, original spin on it, just like most of modern Star Wars is - weak fan service at the expense of anything new or interesting. I'm not an original trilogy purist, either, but bored of the same thing repackaged and sold.

Dear god, I do hope they're going to make something single player too, because of my crappy internet and win7 issues with older games I'd be stuck forever with playing Rogue Leader on the gamecube I "borrowed" from my brother.

Disney, do you see how us X-wing and Rogue Squadron fans are reduced to play acadey Star Wars space sims with *gasp* a gamepad?
If you make a single player game on PC like the free to play trailer thing you can have my money.
