Maybe she THINKS its a "reinvention" because its not an all-black suit.

Please....

Black cape tho. Not blue unless its really, really dark.

@Neo I can't imagine them going with blue. Do you think these descriptions of it being "reinvented" mean it won't be made of some hard material like the last incarnations, but something more cloth-like?

i hope its more like the comic book or animated series,batman begins is still the best bat-suit.i reckon though its gonna be more iron-bat than batman.

@Omega In your theory that they're not as far along as they claim, where does them filming that football scene already fall for you? I'm just curious

MightyZeus - 1/20/2014, 3:14 AM
I want to believe the actress but i'm unsure if she is telling the truth. If the suit is completely different from the Nolan films where the bat suit is just completely black then that's a good sign. Since she used the word 'reinvent' maybe it could be the use of either grey and blue or grey and black. Then again there where rumors that Batman in the film will be inspired by Kingdom Comes Batman and Batman Beyond.

Right now we just need a picture or a glimpse of the Bat suite.

How about the just adapt the costume? Why do actors and develops always get pretentious with "reinventing it". Make Superman's costume brighter and actually adapt Batman and Wonder Woman's costumes, don't start [frick]ing with them.
NeoBaggins
NeoBaggins - 1/20/2014, 3:22 AM
@BatmanFTW

When Kevin Smith talked about the suit and the other little nuggets we received on it, I got the impression that the suit is indeed a BATMAN suit based on the comics more so than the all-black standard. I'm now thinking (hoping) that Garner's usage of "reinvention" is just merely her lack of knowledge on the matter, or like I said, thinking its a reinvention because its not an all black rubber suit.

I'm close to anticipating some form of cloth. cloth and Kevlar mix similar to the Captain America's Avenger suit.

"If they actually go Jim Lee with the suit I will bust thru my pants, into the internet, and out thru half of the world's computer screens simultaneously"

If they go Jim Lee, I will make sure I sit away from my computer with MY MOUTH CLOSED when you react.

I think they got lucky with Superman's suit tho I think its too dark. It was risky going with that texture and pattern all over the suit. Superman has the alien aspect which accents this bold design. And even then, I think it can be tweaked to look even better. But I don't think you can go that drastic with Batman's suit. It's too particular, distinct.

I'm hoping they don't try to make it look thrown together on some homemade mix and match shit. [frick]ing army canteen hanging off his belt and shit.

And if Cavill has the Superman haircut now, brightening up the suit or at least the shield will set his look to perfection.
NeoBaggins
NeoBaggins - 1/20/2014, 3:37 AM
@0mega

I'll take the second shield option. I won't have to worry about... subtance on the force field.

Pretty gross convo actually.

Lmao. They gotta release the suit. Or at least costume designs. They owe us that much.
mgeoff88
mgeoff88 - 1/20/2014, 3:43 AM
@NeoBaggins I'm really hoping that's what she means too. I'm tired of Batman wearing an all black suit on the big screen. It's boring now.

If you're conducting stealth operations at night, blue is actually a better color to wear, not black.
