Marvel’s “Thor: The Dark World” continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. So Frigga in the Dungeon wasn't just an illusion that Loki made for him self, at least wouldn't have been if this scene had made to final cut.

Great scene! It definitely would've made her death that much more emotional, for both characters. Despite the criticisms, this was a great movie. Probably the best CBM of 2013, in my opinion.

Now THIS extended scene right here should've been in the final cut of the first Thor movie!

@ nailbiter, Did you enjoy Iron Man 3 despite all the jokes? Compared to that, I thought Thor 2 was much more toned down in terms of the comedy and humor. Sure, Darcy's ridiculously annoying, but we knew that from the first film already. I thought Alan Taylor really balanced the humor and more dramatic moments, more so than Iron Man 3.

It baffles me some of the scenes they've cut out. There are great scenes in the original Thor, Cap's uncomfortable look at the city around him in Avengers, and now this... Honestly, some of them should not have been cut.

Best part of the movie was Frigga and the Frigga scenes(s) with Loki- Hiddlston's best performance since THOR. Realistically (Ironic, I know), he should be treated as an irredeemable murderer instead of a guy that might have snatched a couple purses, but I enjoyed the drama and depth before the, um, fun resumed.

@Shaanyboi Joss cut Cap's scenes (Yes, there was plenty more beyond the deleted scenes), because he knew it better fit The Winter Soldier.

Is that the first true MCU reference to "Magic"...loki used illusions during first movie, but never called it magic...

Definitely fair enough, nail. To me, most of Stark's jokes were way over the top compared to the humor that was in Thor 2, mostly caused by Loki's antics and Thor's reactions. I pretty much tuned Darcy, and to some extent Jane, out so her one-liners didn't bother me as much.

This should have been in the film. I hate it now days seems they cut out all the good stuff. Makes the movies feel way too rushed.

Why was this scene deleted??? [frick]ing Feige wanted a 1hr50min laughter fest that's why. Totally screwed Alan Taylor out of making a truly great film.
Darcy ruined the ending for me. Why filmmakers always feel the need to interrupt a great ending fight scene with stupid shit baffles me.
