Fanboys You're Not Alone, Seth Green Doesn't Like Ben Affleck As BATMAN Either

Seth Green, co-creator of Robot Chicken and the voice of Chris Griffin on Family Guy, doesn't believe that Ben Affleck ("Gigli") is the right actor to play the Dark Knight in Zack Snyder's untitled Batman/Superman film. Come check it out.

Seth Green, the actor that played Scott Evil in the Austin Powers franchise, was a guest on Ora TV’s “Larry King Now.” During his conversation with King, Seth mentioned he was glad Batman adaptions had graduated from the campiness of the Adam West television series to the grittier versions we've seen more recently.

“You gotta remember that at the core of that character, Batman’s a crazy person. Batman has no powers. Batman is a rich, screwed up kid whose parents were killed in front of him.”

Seth praised Michael Keaton's performance in Tim Burton's Batman films. Though, he voiced trepidation when it came to Batman incumbent, Ben Affleck ("Dazed and Confused").

“If this movie is meant to be the idealistic alien, humans before all else Superman, and this is supposed to be the grizzled weathered Batman who’s been living in Gotham, fighting crime himself for 10 years, you need a guy who’s older, you need a guy who’s got more weight, you need a guy that a Henry Cavill Superman is gonna be actually scared of,” Green said.

Snyder will direct the film from a screenplay being written by Chris Terrio from a screenplay by David S. Goyer and a story co-created by Goyer and Snyder. Zack Snyder’s Superman/Batman film stars Henry Cavill, reprising his role as Superman/Clark Kent, and Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne. The film will also reunite “Man of Steel” stars Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Ma Kent, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. Zack Snyder’s untitled Superman/Batman film which will now be arriving in theaters May 6, 2016.

I have no beef with Seth, but Superman wouldn't be intimidated by Batman's physique because he's a kryptonian which basically makes him a God toward Batman, unless Batman had kryptonite.

i totally agree with him, though i don't feel batman is a "screwed up, rich kid".

Seth Green really wanted to say that Affleck is a shitty actor. I would've.

Batman and Superman fear each other both on some level. Batman for his lethal he is and Superman for how powerful he is and that he can kill hundreds so easily whenever he wanted.

MAC but weight has nothing to do with that. Most of the time, someone's actions are the result of fear. His weight could matter less when fighting a Kryptonian.

Seth goes onto basically say how he can't see past Affleck in the role of Batman, and most of his grief seems based on speculation of what the plot/time frame/age of Batman is. Furthermore to go on and throw a nod of support towards Clooney when even George had said how he helped ruin Batman, gave all of Seth's credibility a trip down a gaping pit.
Imagine if Seth got a role in the new Star Wars movies and Affleck came out and said...well I just don't see it. Have some faith Seth wait till the movie actually comes out, or at least a trailer.

After seeing how good Batman still looks in Robocop, they should have went to him to come back as a "mature and seasoned" Batman. Not go to Ben Affleck.

On top of the fact that he still basically looks like a teenager, bringing in Marvel related people hasnt worked well for WB in the past.

I like how Seth Green waited to share his opinion on Ben Affleck as Batman after everyone else is pretty much on board with him now.

I agree with the guy that says Ben Affleck will crush it:

I want to hear what Seth Green thinks about Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor lol.

@miklonus maybe he's basing it on the fact Affleck has won 2 Oscars, 2 Golden Globes, 2 BAFTAS and countless other awards. Also, the guy said "I agree with.." NOT "I know he will.."

While I don't hate Seth Green, we should wait and see how Affleck performance turns... that being said, seems like Seth Green it's prejudging too much.

I dunno about this - Seth Green makes it sound like Batman is willing to go out there snapping necks and shiz. I think he's generally right on with what he's saying and after hearing it, I can understand why Josh Brolin would've been a good choice for that version of Batman. Regardless, Ben Affleck is a good actor (Voyage of the Mimi pro) and I'll at least give him a chance. My biggest worry is that Bruce Wayne will have Ben's generic/standard Boston-personality built in. I swear, every single movie that Affleck does, the character is at least half-Boston.
