We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

I'm soo hoping Harry is just the Os serum lab rat. Glider looks incredible, and Goblin looks creepy and menacing, but his design is mediocre.

I'm actually not worried about Rhino or the Goblin as much as that Webb and Sony don't even know their character. I'm really annoyed by the whole dead parents storyline. It's uncle Ben who's supposed to be the important one. And no, it's not great being Spider-Man. It's supposed to suck. In some other spot there was a clip of Peter kissing Gwen in the graduation in front of everyone being really confident and kind of arrogant. That's not Peter Parker! So I actually hope that everything turns to shit for him in this one, and maybe Daily Bugle starts turning people against him.

@ thewolfx

Honestly, who cares? I wanna know who would walk out of this movie and say "the movie was so bad JUST because Green Goblin's glider wasn't purple." Stop nitpicking.

@thewolfx As far as I know, Goblin's glider was only purple in Spider-Man 2002. It's not like that decision would be comic accurate.
