These new Godzilla images of Bryan Cranston as Joe Brody, Juliette Binoche as Sandra Brody, Elizabeth Olsen as Elle Brody, Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Ford Brody and Ken Watanabe as Dr. Serizawa, were all part of South by Southwest Film Conference (SXSW). To see more of the images of the crafty props that were on display at that event, visit godzilla-movies.com (click here). New footage was shown at the event and below you will find some reactions as well as detailed description by nerdist.com.

Description by nerdist.com
The scene opens with Aaron Taylor-Johnson and a Japanese child riding in an airport tram. Suddenly, power is lost as Taylor-Johnson reassures the boy the power will be back on momentarily. The scene shifts to a luau on a Hawaii beach where a massive fire burns in the mountains in the distance. As partygoers are distracted a lone girl notices that the ocean has begun to pull away from the beach. When her father comes to collect her, he realizes the warning signs of a tsunami and yells for the crowd to run, scooping up his daughter along the way.

The scene then cuts to Ken Watanabe on a battleship. Massive plates move through the water toward land. Godzilla is coming. The monster dives further under the ship and moves toward the surface, overturning battleships as he breaches.

On the beach, a lone dog is left barking at the coming wave. He finally turns to run, snapping the leash tethering him to a palm tree. The dog quickly catches up to the crowd of humans that left him behind. The father/daughter pair find refuge in a restaurant as the wave crashes through what I believe is Honolulu. Onlookers have taken to the roof and look down as water and debris wash over the city now in chaos. Soldiers on the rooftops fire off flares to reveal the massive trunk of Godzilla’s thigh at about ten stories high. This Godzilla is 350 ft tall.

Legendary Pictures: Godzilla -- An epic rebirth to Toho's iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure pits the world's most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence. Gareth Edwards directs Godzilla, which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, and Juliette Binoche, with David Strathairn and Bryan Cranston. The screenplay is by Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont, and Dave Callaham. Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni are producing with Mary Parent and Brian Rogers. Alex Garcia and Patricia Whitcher are the executive producers, alongside Yoshimitsu Banno and Kenji Okuhira. The film is from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures.

GODZILLA will stomp into theaters May 16, 2014.

@the beard - I've never seen the original, though it is REALLY cool what I've been hearing about this film incorporating a previous Godzilla "incident" from 1954... To know that Watanabe is probably the son of a character from the original just cranks my anticipation for this to 11!

I gotta go buy the '54 film ASAP!

Hope the VFX look top-notch in the finished film. It looked great in the teaser, not so much in the second trailer.

@ GoldenOne33

...Actually...we know Matt Frank. Great Artist and cool guy. Should read his Godzilla: Rulers of the Earth comics...pretty bad ass. He hated '98 Godzilla...him saying this is righteous is pretty dead on. We trust this man.

If everyone had stayed at the beach, they would have seen that Godzilla was wearing his coconut bra and grass skirt. He heard the party and thought he'd come in a kick it up a notch!! There is NO beach party without the ultimate G-Man!!!!
