'Fish Mooney' is "an imposing, hotheaded and notoriously sadistic gangster boss and nightclub owner with street smarts and almost extra-sensory abilities to read people like an open book who is not one to be crossed." - Deadline
As Gordon navigates the often-underhanded politics of Gotham’s criminal justice system, Gordon will confront imposing gang boss FISH MOONEY (Jada Pinkett Smith, “The Matrix” films, “HawthoRNe,” “Collateral”), and many of the characters who will become some of fiction’s most renowned, enduring villains, including a teenaged SELINA KYLE/the future CATWOMAN (acting newcomer Camren Bicondova) and OSWALD COBBLEPOT/THE PENGUIN (Robin Lord Taylor, “The Walking Dead,” “Another Earth”).

Cast: James Gordon played by Ben McKenzie (“Southland”), Barbara Kean played by Erin Richards (“Open Grave”), Harvey Bullock played by Donal Logue (“Sons of Anarchy”), Bruce Wayne played by David Mazouz (“Touch”), Fish Mooney played by Will Smith's wife Jada Pinkett Smith (“Collateral”), Selina Kyle/Catwoman played by Camren Bicondova, Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin played by Robin Lord Taylor (“Another Earth”), Police Captain Sarah Essen played by Zabryna Guevara (“Burn Notice”), Alfred Pennyworth played by Sean Pertwee (“Camelot”).

GOTHAM is based upon characters published by DC Comics and is produced by Warner Bros. Television. Executive producer Bruno Heller (“The Mentalist”) wrote the pilot, which will be directed and executive-produced by Emmy Award nominee Danny Cannon (the “CSI” series, “Nikita”).

I think Arrowhead is being sarcastic, bro. We all know that looks terrible. Of all the cast looks alright so far, except for this and Catgirl.

So, with that hair color thing going on, can I assume that this is not taking place in the past?

It's looking more and more Smallville-ish every day. Not setting this in the 80's (when Batfleck was a kid) and tying it to the DCU is a big miss. (sigh)

I can see why she gets killed off. Because with a name like fish she clearly will get caught on a hook and then like a fish taken out of water she will die. Plus what's with the red on her hair for. I thought she was to be a crime boss not a kid trying to play a rebel.

I want to know when will Carmine Falcone be shown. He would be the most interesting to know his backstory. He wasn't always known as the Roman. He had to do some crazy things to get into the power he is at now in Gotham.

Plus I want to see the early years of Rupert Thorne. These are the two characters I am most interested in finding out more about.

The fact that I wasn't named "Fish Mooney" upon birth means my life was always destined to suck.

I feel like I missed out.

You can always change it brother... Don't let anyone stop you from being who you want to be!

On topic, this is stupid. Jada is a horrible actress, and has proved it time and time again. She can destroy this entire show by herself.

@nailbiter

Sure, but the cut and color look a whole lot more 2000's than 80's to me -- along with all of the other wardrobe I've seen to this point.

Also, the shot of Cobblepot in the street had a vendor selling items that did not exist in the 80's. Continuity miss, or is this really taking place in the present day?

I'm always laughing at the comments on articles about this show. These idiots bash the show and think it'll be bad, but don't seem to realize the greatest CBCartoon, Batman The Animated Series, originally aired on Fox. So I expect this show to be good.

@PoopOn This show isn't tied to the DCCU.
