Images that appear to be from a Hasbro slideshow presentation have leaked. They were posted on an Australian website, vilsco.com.au. They include a calendar for upcoming Transformers projects. Most importantly, they confirm a Transformers 5 live-action film is planned for release in the second quarter of 2017. There's even a preliminary logo. Also confirmation for two animated features. One for the first quarter of 2015 and a second for the first quarter of 2016. While the Transformers: Age of Extinction concept art includes character designs for Silver Knight Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Hound, Drift, Lockdown and Grimlock. I can confirm that the concept art you see below is legit, which makes me very confident that the rest of the images are real as well. View all of the images at tfw2005.com.

I find the Transformers 5 information quite fascinating. Since the fourth film was announced we had heard that it was the first of a new trilogy. But in November of last year, Vice Chairman of Paramount Pictures, Rob Moore, told the Chinese press that a fifth or sixth film was largely dependent on the box office performance of Transformers: Age of Extinction. Guess Hasbro is feeling a bit more confident than Mr. Rob Moore.

Starring in "Transformers 4" is Jack Reynor in the starring role of a race car driver. The talented and beautiful Nicola Peltz has been cast in the female lead role of Reynor's girlfriend. Mark Wahlberg has signed on to play Nicola's father Flynn Vincent. Sophia Myles will play a major role as a scientist. Peter Cullen returns as the voice of Optimus Prime, and Glenn Morshower reprises his role as General Morshower. Kelsey Grammer was recently cast as the lead villain named "Harold Attinger". Directors Guild of America DGA Award winner Michael Bay will return to direct his fourth installment of the film series from a screenplay written by Ehren Kruger.

TRANSFORMERS 4 will be directed by Michael Bay, from a script written by Ehren Kruger. The cast includes: Mark Wahlberg, Kelsey Grammar, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci and Jack Reynor. Set for release on June 27th, 2014!

I guess nobody here saw the second and third films of this franchise in theaters since they hate Michael Bay so much.

Never the less,it appears many people have,which accounts for the fact this is a billion dollar series which will be among the top three grossers(The other films being ASM 2 and who ever earns most out of Godzilla,XMDOFP and Planet of The Apes) of this summer season.

Do I think Transformers the live action film series is great SCI-FI? Hell no. I do think its a series that totally embraces the fact its pure pop corn summer spectacle and doesn't lie to its self that it should do nothing more then to deliver the most explosions,T and A and dirty jokes while pushing the most tie in product possible? Frick Yeah.

People love these films and if they wish to give their money to Michael Bay, whose to say its wrong that so many
people prefer this franchise over a superhero film?

If you hate it,don't see it and let the laws of economics decide the fate of this series.

Michael Bay is getting out of this series and his long rumored replacement is rumored to be Steven Spielberg. That seems like a major franchise upgrade to me and if it actually happened would make a fifth film a really interesting prospect.

@onewhoknocks

I will take full responsibility. I love the Transformers movies (Dark Side of the Moon kinda sucked).

Why can we not just have some fun with movies? C'mon, we're all comic geeks here, we spent our childhood reading the most ridiculous shit imaginable. Why can't we enjoy a fun, explosion filled, simple minded blockbuster?

(Might be a silly question) So is Optimus supposed to turn silver in the film? Or was this how they originally wanted him to look??

Just PLEASEEEEEEEEE have the 5th and 6th films venture out into space!! Or at Keats have more space scenes. There's so much more to explore.
