We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp...

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

Saw it for the first time(on the big screen) last night, very reminiscent of The Animated Series from the 90's, which brought me back in a nostalgiac way. It does struggle from script issues however. The visuals were [frick]ing phenomenal though, and the acting was great. I liked it, and look for ward to the threequel!

Looks like they planned her to be cut apart given she's falling into a fan in this situation... o_o

Anyway... hope the film flops it doesn't deserve all this praise and marketing.

Awful movie.Cheesy one liners, terrible fake accents, massive plot holes......it was bad.And two of my friends who give even the worst movies chances (ie:they both stood up for both Ghost Riders)hated it.

"Not only the best Spider-Man film to date, but one of the best CBM ever. I can't think of another CBM that comes close to packing this kind of emotional punch."

No disrespect, but you hated Man of Steel with a passion, yet you like this film?

Emotional punch? One of the best CBM ever? I hope you're joking. Or you're 12.

@shangho I think the fact that both of your friends stood up for the Ghost Rider movies is a pretty clear indication that we should not give a shit about what they think. This movie was incredible. Best comic book movie after The Dark Knight. I feel bad for Marvel Studios fans, they have had to endure garbage like Iron Man 3 and Thor 2 (so bad it's on par with Batman and Robin). Keep em coming Sony!

Totally agree with you. Easily the best Spiderman movie and easily in my to 10 best comic book superhero movies. I can't imagine how anyone can hate this film and then say they like CBMs

The more I think of this movie the more I hate it. And wtf was that mid credits XMen DOFP teaser? It's that their way of connecting universes? Fail Sony and Fox!!

Ehh, the movie was ok, the villains felt too rushed, visuals were great, just didn't feel like i got enough of each one's story, Dehaan was great as harry, jaime fox as electro was just a miss for me, and rhino's role?? pointless, just too damn comical,
