Possible First Look At Chewbacca For STAR WARS: EPISODE VII

May the fourth be with you! Yesterday, the Star Wars instagram account posted an image of Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger posing with a familiar Wookie. Might just be our first look at Peter Mayhew in his Star Wars VII designed Chewbacca costume.

I think this photo was taken at one of Bryan Singer's "parties" back in the day...

Singer promised young Chewie a role in his movies...

Why hasn't Chewbacca aged?

No news about "A Million Ways to Die in the West?" Dr. Emmett Brown is in the movie with the Delorean. Is it canon or just a wild joke?

Okay, it's just a joke. Back to the Future III takes place in 1885, while this movie takes place in 1882.

Link to the cast to prove it, since no online trailer shows the scene. It only plays in cinemas.

Carrie Fisher is still very fat. And Harrison Ford really needed some fat reduction on his face before this got started.
It's going to suck to see the original trio look so old and unhealthy looking in the new films.

I think Disney should've invested in some minor facial work on Ford and Hamill and possibly a lap band or gastric bypass on Fisher.

Looks more like the real Chewie than the Revenge of the Sith version which always looked a little off to me.

As long as Abrams doesn't put Carrie Fisher back in the gold bikini I don't care what they look like now

Why do some of you assume that wookies age at the same rate as humans?

For all we know Chewy can be in his mid 20's in wookie age & you guys want him to have a gray bush

Pretty sure Abrams is going for the make-up route for the aliens rather than CGI like he did with Star Trek

@ManDeth -

You are an idiot.

You are talking about people who range in age from 57 to freaking 72.

If you think Disney is going to suggest to Harrison freaking Ford that he get "some work done" you are out of your mind. Not that he needs it. He looks pretty darn good for a man who is, again, 72. He was on a late night talk show recently and the man looks dang good.

Carrie has lost a lot of weight - that cast picture of them sitting in a circle wasn't flattering for anyone, particularly since Carrie carries most of her weight in her chest these days. Look at other recent pictures. I'm sure since Lucas isn't involved she won't have to use gaffer tape this time, and I am sure knowing that her character is known for her outfits the world class costume team is going to make her look great.

Regardless, you cannot judge how someone is going to look in a feature film with lighting, costumes, makeup and filters from candid shots. They also are supposed to look old. Because they are. They are also the reason that this film is going to likely be the most successful film of all time. It would have done very well I am sure without them, but with them? I have family in their 60's and 70's as well who are really excited to go see this film because of it. They wouldn't have gone otherwise - they can't even watch the prequels.

We can talk when you are that age and see how much you look like you did when you were 20-30.

I think it's only fair that if the other returning characters change/age, so should Chewie. At least a few streaks of gray. After all, he didn't appear to age much from Ep III to Ep VI.

Looks great. Maybe a little grey in the fur, but that's just a minor nitpick. And how old are you people who complain about their ages? 12? Grow up and give it a chance before you bash.

@awwriter:

Thank you for your just and thoughtful reply to the idiot, @ManDeth.

@ManDeth, your "deth" will come one day, and before it does, if you are lucky, you will be old and whatever fine features you had long since faded. The kind of drivel you wrote on this thread is symptomatic of the ridiculous and pathetic society we live in.
