New Hi-Res Look At 'Shredder' From TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES

We should have that second full trailer for the Michael Bay produced TMNT reboot officially released soon enough, but ahead of that here's a new still from the movie giving us our best look yet at the villainous Shredder, with the Turtle's sensei Splinter getting ready to take the fight to him.

"The city needs heroes... Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan."

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is directed by Jonathan Liebesman. It stars Megan Fox, Pete Ploszek, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Alan Ritchson, Danny Woodburn, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, Whoopi Goldberg and opens August 8.

Ok, so I took my kids to see How to Train Your Dragon 2 over the weekend in which a new Ninja Turtle trailer played in front of it. Now, my kids love the new cartoon series on Nickelodeon. As it started, I turned to my daughter, who is 6, and told her it was for the new Turtle movie (which I may have to wait to let her see), and after the trailer ended she asked, "Where's April?" I really hope that is not an omen as to how bad this will be.

I may watch this movie just to see how Shredder can fight with all that madness on. And then it looks like he is about to fight a rat as well. Must be early incarnations of Splinter.
