More Possible ANT-MAN Details: Apparently Villain Is Actually 'Yellowjacket'

We've had quite a bit of info on which villains would be giving Paul Rudd's Scott Lang grief in Marvel's Ant-Man movie, and now Badass Digest have posted a very interesting addition. According to them the main bad guy won't be Crossfire, but an incarnation of Yellowjacket.

First we heard that the villain in Ant-Man would be a character called Darren Cross, and that his cousin -- who becomes the costumed baddie Crossfire in the comics -- would also be involved. Then we found out that it'd be House Of Cards actor Cory Stoll playing Cross, and Wilson the cousin..though it wasn't known if he'd be suiting up as Crossfire. Well, now Badass Digest report that whichever one of 'em does don the outfit, it will actually be as Yellowjacket! Marvel fans will likely know that this was one of Hank Pym's costumed incarnations in the comics, but the site reckon it definitely won't be Michael Douglas in the suit. Bit of a liberty with the character, but nothing to get too riled up about...right?

What if Hank Pym is still Yellowjacket? That other villain that was rumored can be the film's main villain, with Pym losing faith in Lang and tries to get the Ant-Man suit out of his hands, by creating a new version of the suit to stop him. I hope that doesn't happen, but it is definitely a possibility.

I thought they were still somewhat adapting the 'To Steal an Ant-Man' storyline? Things just got a bit interesting. Can't wait to see some Ant-Man vs Yellow-Jacket action. Imagine seeing the two shrinking and growing whilst duking it out (assuming Yellow Jacket has the same ability as Ant-Man that is). That could be very EPIC!

"The deviations from the source is overwhelmingly irritating."

And yet people complain about fox and sony doing it. Looks like MS is pulling the same shit.. personally, i don't like this idea, this movie just keeps sounding worse and worse. But ill stay to see how the comments are.

Fox and Sony still do terrible jobs of adapting characters. Just because Marvel may have dropped the ball, doesn't mean we should forget about the cluster [frick]s that are Sony and Fox.

Welcome our newest troll to CBM.com, PymParticle...

I still don't much care about this movie. Wright was NOT a selling point. The Michael Douglas casting was the biggest thing to get me interested. And now the rumors of CTE and Crossfire have piqued my interest again. Let's see what happens.

@Marvel210 Every studio does it. Some (obviously) more than others. But Marvel changes has always been, (probably not the right word( but a lot more subtle and changes you can easily ignore I.E Thor helmet. But lately, I just they've been deviating for what exactly... What? It's been consistent in phase 2 for some reason.

Though I must say, don't go and instantly compare this to what Fox and Sony has done. That's just stupid.
