Scoot McNairy's BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DOJ Role Revealed?

Ever since those set snaps of McNairy sporting a pair of green socks popped up online fans have frantically speculated as to which DC character he might be playing. The Flash? Metallo? Captain...Green Legs? An extra from the set may have shed some light..

The website The Devils Eyes claims to have received some info from an extra on the set of Zack Snyder's currently shooting Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, pertaining to the character Monsters actor Scoot McNairy will play in the film. When those odd pics of McNairy appeared online, many assumed he'd be The Flash because he had CG friendly green socks on, and The Flash...runs fast? There's also been rumors that he could be playing the likes of Metallo or Dr. Will Magnus. Well, it seems the theory that he'd be portraying someone who lost his legs in the battle of Metropolis is the most accurate -- though that someone WILL apparently be an established DC character.

"Scoot is playing Jimmy Olsen, but with a bit of a twist. Jimmy was injured during the battle of Zod vs Superman. His legs where pinned under falling building rubble and that caused him to lose the legs. He now walks with the use of two prosthetic legs." The source goes on to add "He doesn't blame Superman for it [his loss of legs]. He feels grateful that Superman saved the world."

Maybe not quite as cool as some of the other possibilities, but it'll be nice to have Jimmy Olsen make an appearance, and this sounds like a very interesting way to introduce his character. Of course we don't know for certain if this is on the level, but it does seem like the most logical explanation for those snazzy socks at the very least. Thoughts?

Never cared for Jimmy Olsen, so this twist seems refreshing.

After all that intrigue, that's a bit crap. But it makes sense from everything we've heard about the story and from Scoot.
Not really interested in Jimmy having screentime with so many other characters to introduce.

I really love the diversity of this production....the world seems to be populated accurately by all types of "real" people. Most anticipated film ever for me. Let's see how the pacing will be this time around.

I really don't want an older Jimmy. I wish he was still part of the Daily Planet. He would've provided a grounded perspective that the movie needed.

But I'll wait and see.

The Flash speculation was dumb. Who runs with only the lower half of their legs? That would look ridiculous.

If this is true, I was close

I thought he was hank henshaw in the same circumstances but he works on robotics and works for lexcorp, with the aid of star labs recreates his legs, then helps luthor build metallo . Links to cyborg rather than
cyborg superman
